  1. Hi, This was sent to me by my Lexus dealer. Worked like a champ! The solution is very simple. With the car off, stand outside the car with all the doors closed. Hold your remote in your hand. First press and hold the lock button, and then press and hold the unlock button simultaneously together for about 15 seconds. You are going to hear a beep and then release. Now you will be able to unlock all the doors when you only reach for one door. Hope this helps.
  2. Hi, I use a Motorola Razr V3 phone also (with Cingular, but I don't know if that makes any difference). I checked http://www.lexus.com/models/RX/accessories/bluetooth.html and then navigate to the ES-350 site. It has a list of phones, including the Motorola Razr V3 and what features are available. The Motorola Razr V3 is compatible with the ES-350, but the phone book addresses can only be downloaded one at a time (other Bluetooth phones may let you download all at once). Since I have a small address book, it was no big deal. If you have a large address book, it'll take some time). I don't know of any other method except one at a time. Sorry I couldn't help further.
  3. I never got a reply from my dealer. I'll recontact them and make some waves. Any CHEAP alarm system will passively arm the system and lock the doors after a short period of time. I can't believe the Japanese engineers would overlook something this obvious. I don't want to buy another alarm system - the installers would probably screw up my otherwise good car.
  4. Hi all, I've had my ES 350 about a month now - wonderful car! Does anyone know if there is a way to set the car to automatically lock and set the alarm when I walk away from the car (if I don't press the button on the handle or the key fob)? Basically, I want a passive lock and alarm system. I don't trust Lexus Tech's to tell me correctly. They told me all doors could not be unlocked upon entering the car unless you press the key fob or open the driver's door and then unlock the other doors by the switch on the door. I said "BOLDERDASH!" (or something to that effect). I contacted the Service Manager a couple days later, told him what I wanted to do and he told me what steps to take. Yes, all doors CAN unlock when the driver touches his door handle (if you want them to). Japanese engineers don't miss a trick - and I think the passive alarm would be an option they had thought of. I just don't know how to do it. Any ideas? Bruce
  5. Yes, the Motorola Razr (I have the V3) should be compatible on the ES 350. Here's how to do it. 1. Go to your address book on the Razr and highlight a name to transfer. You can only transfer one name at a time, so if you have a large phone book it'll take some time. 2. Press the minus key "-" above the 4-way navigation key (with the Select button in the middle) 3. Scroll all the way to the bottom and highlight the "SEND" key 4. Select "Send" - The phone should display HANDS FREE (Look for Devices) Press select. The phone and car should now "see" each other and transfer the name/number you had highlighted if you already had configured the car to transfer data. Once the name/number is transferred, go to the next....etc. until all the names/numbers have been transferred. You can then configure the car for voice recognition or speed dial - whichever you wish to use. Only 20 of each though - pity. I hope this helps. I had to go back to the dealer and have a salesman show me how to do it. The cars manual and the phones manual aren't very clear on this. Bruce
