  1. I had similar problem with my LS 430 early on. If I am not mistaken, there were some issues with the motor and the tracks/gear. The dealer replaced the motor and greased the tracks and that solved the problem.
  2. Hey, I'm an engineer. Engineers do stuff like this. Silver Bullitt Me too. LOL....... In Pursuit of Excellence.
  3. Technically it is but in reality I beg to differ. Could the error be induced by the RF between the monitor unit and the LT PC.
  4. I have not seen any specs. I do have a person at Discount Tires who has been looking at the aftermarket, but has run into some problems due to proprietary issues. Please not that based on my experience, the accuracy of these monitors are highly debateable. I have tried every combination of guage and air temperature to get all of tires to read the same and they do when cold. When hot; the psi spread between the monitors at times can be as much as 6 psi. So I treat them as "for monitor purpose only" and keep an eye out for unusual swings in the readings... time to check the tires for any leaks.
  5. Yes, that is exactly what my salesperson told me. I bought my chrome wheels from a dealer in the Houston area. But was later on kinda $issed at the blank center caps as they had failed to tell me at the time of sale that the wheels came with el-cheapo generic center caps. I ended up buying OEM chrome ones on e-bay. I like the way the chrome wheels now look.
  6. About a month back our 07 RX350 started to periodically get "lost". Then two weeks ago it got lost and never recovered. The dealer concluded that it was the GPS antenna and replaced it.... and the nav system continued to be lost. Finally, the dealer installed "a new disk"; whatever they mean by it :whistles: , I believe they just uploaded a new software as now I am running 6.1 version. The " lost" problem is solved and, I also had to calibrate the location.
  7. Not at all, I appreciate your response. I'll add you to the list (it's growing nicely)! I spent over three frustrating hours loading and managing/editing my albums on the HDD. I felt that most of the items could have been done by my wife while we are on the road traveling long distances. Also, I feel that Lexus lawyers have gone overboard with the lock out mantra........ we are smart enough consumers to recognize and buy a good product but so dumb that we don't possess cognative skills to know when an activity might be an distractions.????? Sign me up for the class action.
  8. I am also fed -up with this "I Agree" bs. I totally agree that once should be enough. This months issue of C&D has an article as to how to by-pass it, but I am not willing as others have noted to have the center pod completely dismantled to access the rear of the nav unit. Also, Bob can you share with us the details of "how to" override the nav and phone while moving. Thanks. James
  9. Pretty much MSRP. Our local dealer has a waiting list of 50+. I had to wait a little over three months.
  10. I finally drove mine home from the airport in excess of the speed limits. Did not notice any wind noise as described.
  11. Also, I was wondering what the dealers are charging for these in different parts of the country.:whistles: I was getting a sliver LS and when I went to look at it, saw a black/black that I and my wife fell in love with immediately. I asked for the same discount and they gave it to me, but then saw the wheels and they stickered it at $2999.00. I asked for the original wheels and they said that the b/b was only being sold with these. I asked for a discount and they immediately came back with $500.00 off the wheels. I understand that other dealers are selling the wheels for between $1800 - $2000 for 4. They really get you, when they know they have a hot car. Ditto .. they do get you. I am still wait listed since first week of Nov; just been told that the car will be in last week of February. :( Thanks for the prices. My dealer also quoted $2,900.00 for a set of fours.

  13. Extremely well put. We have a total of three Lexus's in our house. We firmly beleive in "RQV" (reliability, quality, value) irrespective of what the reviewers say. We have had our share of so called performance sedans. Anxiously waiting since 1st of Nov for our LS 460L.
