I am looking at a 2002 RX300 with Nav. The navigation is 2001 v 1. Functionally it is fine but the amount of imformation seemingly in the database for points of interest is extremely tiny. I think there is a version just released a month ago, don't know the version. Do the newer DVD's have satisfactory POI databases? I know the amount of information is somewhat a matter of opinion but I live in the Chicago area and when I input a Target store for example, the closest Target it can find is 80 mi. away! There are about 4 old Target stores within 5 miles. Strange.
I test drove a 2004 Acura MDX with Nav. It took me about 20 seconds of never using a navigation system before to enter Dairy Queen and have the car start directing us there.
