  1. I had a similar engine stall. The problem in my 93 GS' case was the valve cover gasket was bad and was leaking oil into the spark plug well causing a bad ground. Did you check for oil or moisture in your spark plug areas?
  2. To remove the rear shocks, you need to do only the following. The control arm doesn't need to be touched at all. A couple months ago I posted a tutorial with pictures (user name phollero) on the GS300 1st Gen area of the 'other' Lexus forum if you want more details. 1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM FRONT COVER AND FLOOR MAT 2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL Torque: 103 N·m (1,050 kgf·cm, 76 ft·lbf) 3. (OPTIONAL - just makes it easier) REMOVE REAR BRAKE CALIPER a) Remove the 2 bolts and brake caliper from the rear axle carrier. Torque: 104 N·m (1,065 kgf·cm, 77 ft·lbf) B) Support the brake caliper securely. 4. DISCONNECT REAR STABILIZER BAR LINK Remove the nut and disconnect the stabilizer bar link from the No.2 lower suspension arm. Torque: 44 N·m (450 kgf·cm, 33 ft·lbf) 5. REMOVE SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING a) Remove the nut and bolt on the lower side of the shock absorber. Torque: 137 N·m (1,400 kgf·cm, 101 ft·lbf) HINT: At the time of installation, after stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut. B) Loosen the nut in the middle of the suspension support. NOTICE: Do not remove it. Torque: 27 N·m (280 kgf·cm, 20 ft·lbf) c) Remove the 3 nuts, suspension support seat and shock absorber with the coil spring. Torque: 27 N·m (280 kgf·cm, 20 ft·lbf)
  3. Sea Foam costs $6.99 at my local Southern California AutoZone. I guess prices have gone up since this thread started. I just put 1/3 through my '93 GS300's brake booster line today. The idle while in PARK has definitely gotten smoother. Prior to Sea Foaming it, the idle would "shudder" with a regular rhythm and tach needle would quiver slightly. The idle while stopped in DRIVE feels the same (smooth). As for acceleration power, I did not notice any improvement. I spent just under $15 for 2 cans and will use the rest for the fuel tank and crank (right before I change oil).
