  1. went to the local dealer that applies the 3M coating and he had two cars outside that were done,, on both the demark line across the hood was very evident,, one car was a soft yellow and the other a dark blue,, was considering for my 05 LS430 but with it being pearl white I thought the line across the hood would really bother me and end up being sorry I did it,, dealer said they have no way of reducing the appearence of the line,, anyone else have it on a light color car and would appreciate your comments,,
  2. wanted to ask other owners where you obtain the unique filters the cars take,, such as the in dash filter or the one for the rear air-conditioning and the seat ventilation,, appreciate any comments
  3. the 18" chromes on my 2005 still look like new after 20K miles,, car color is pearl white and the chrome wheels do look good,, can't imagine replacing the wheels with anything else,, they get cleaned good every time I wash the car and polished the same time the car does,, nothing out of the way for mntc,,
  4. my 2005 LS430 has the sport and norm air ride as well as the height adjustment,, has the ultra package which I beleive contains these options,,
  5. wanted to ask other owners if they are using any type synthetic oil in their Lexus and if they are exceeding the 5K oil change recommendation,, noticed the oil filter on my 2005 LS430 looks rather small when compared to past cars,, have owned Mercedes prior and they recommend synthetic as well as a longer miles before the oil changes,, appreciate your comments,,
  6. just bought a 2005 LS430 with 18" rims,, don't need tires yet but whe she does was wondering what the other drivers have found to be one of the better handling as well as longivity tires on the market,, appreciate your relipes and recommendations,,
  7. might try a local junk yard if any are close,, found rims off a Mercedes in the past to use for the winter months,, was for one of my Mercedes, not a Lexus,,
  8. just check the seal for total contact on the entire surface to be sure,, bought one for my F350 Ford diesel and almost half the seal did not make contact allowing unfiltered air to enter the engine,, had heard the same issue from others on K&N filter owners on a Ford FTE site,,
  9. have none on mine,, slick as ya could ever want it to be...
  10. Novus also receives my vote,, used it on our boat windows and prior cars for years and does a very nice job at cleaning as well as protecting,, living in Florida for 20 years will make you pay attention to those lenses or a yellow they will go,,
  11. I always keep a two inch wide paint brush uner the hood of all my vehicles,, every time the car is cleaned the under hood area also is cleaned,, the paint brush helps for those tight areas and removing dust from the ususal corners that a towel and fingers can't seem to get into,, have found for a really dirty engine there are some good cleaners at the local auto store,, just be careful of the exterior painted-waxed surfaces,,
  12. just purchased a 2005 LS 430 and since I do most of my normal mntc. wanted to ask fellow owners where they buy their oil and air filters,, thanks,
