How many miles do you have on it? When was the timing belt and water pump changed?

Is there a 5 speed automatic transmission in 1998-2000 SC300 or 4 speed?

Just curious, do you still have the problem>?? What fixed it?

What I was trying to figure out is if I ask the tint shop to put 35% film on the windows, would it end up being 28% or more if there was factory tint? Right now it looks pretty clear but I don't know if I can detect less than 10% factory tint or not.

Hi, Did it suddenly lose power or was it gradual? Also, did the steering wheel suddenly feel a little stiff? Just curious... Did you have to change ALL the coils?

I have a 99 sc 300 that I don't drive much anymore. It is basically garaged but I take it out for a spin once in a while. Anyway, it has 82K miles. I had every scheduled maintenance from the dealer up to the 80K maintenance done at 81K. Anyway, should I go ahead and do the 90K maintenence which includes the timing belt now since it has been over 6 years but less than 90K? The recommended maintenance is 6 years/90K. Since I don't drive this much anymore, it would probably take another year or more to reach 90K. Should I wait until then or do it now? Thanks for your input and continue to enjoy your Lexus!

You have to open the trunk and get behind the trunk liner, There are threaded studs 3 or 4 I forget, Remove the nuts and the entire assembly comes out, Then you can replace the bulbs easily. What I do is when 1 bulb goes out REPLACE THEM ALL while you have the assy. out. Murphy's law says another bulb will burn in a month and you wish you would have changed all of them. It is a worthy investment/project. 1 hour and your finished. I agree,I would go with black tint too. I think the amber tint would look better on a gold colored car. Same here...the amber doesn't go well with that color...

How do I access the light bulb for the back left brake light? Do I open the trunk to get to it? Also, what bulb to I buy? Thanks!

I have a 1999 Lexus SC300 and I want to get my state legal 35% tint installed. However, does the factory tint already have some level of % tint? Can someone help me please?
