  1. I have a Lexus RX350 and was only able to find the owner manuals, warrenties ect. No Shop Service Manuals. Can't find any OEM shop manual on this car. Maybe use an older manual on the RX.
  2. Wow this is strange to me as my Lexus RX350 is the smoothest ride I ever had. If I had this issue I would look up the specs on the tires and see what the tread wear was if higher than 400 iike 600 it would be part of the issue. If the tires have to much pressure that would cause the issue - hard to believe the inspections would miss this. I have the Michelin Latutide Tour HP and love them - I also like the pilot series. Check your tire specs against Michelins and see if you find a diffrence. Also ensure the wheels are aligned correctly - if not this would put stress on the tire contact and pick up more road defects. Hope this Helps
  3. Michelins are overall best, but you need to review the tire specs for treadwear, low treadwear will wear fast but good for cornering, I like the Pilot series - check reviews and the Michelin site and others for review. I have 19" on my RX with the Michelin Latitude Tour HP. I love them for milage, noise and comfort. The shop guys who balance many tires tell me the Michelins are the easest to balance without adding alot of weight. As a reliability engineer i am very picky - thats why I have two Lexus - RX350 and GS400.
  4. I have a 2012 RX350 and asked the same question. The dealer said that if I was able to prove with reciepts that the maintenance work was done it would protect the warranty. Since I don't trust the dealers or garages (and they are unnessarily expensive) I have always done the work myself. I use Moble 1 and change every 15k, use the best fram filter, and clean my engine injectors with Seafoam once a year. The plugs are good for 100k with no problem. I keep all my reciepts. Since the Lexas 350 cars (RX/ES) have the best reliability rating in the world - I will take my chances with me doing the work. Also the transmission is a life time sealed unit with no dipstick. I will change with the correct transmission fluid at 100k to ensure a health transmission as there are fill and drain plugs in the case.
  5. I have learned over the past 50yrs after trying many other brands that Michelin tires are the best. To get the high milage you have to comprise performance (who races aroung corners anyway with a rx350) with firmness. Read the specs on the tires from Michelin and pick one with a 400+ treadwear. A 200 treadwear will last 20-40k where a 400-600 treadwear will go 60-80k, but you have ensure maintenance of tire pressure and keep the alignment in spec if you hit a pothole or curb to get the high milage. A high treadwear will be firmer and you may notice a bit more noise from the road. I like the Pilot series.
  6. I have a 2012 RX350 and it does have a tire monitoring system. There are speed sensors on each wheel, and if one shows a increase in speed it will indicate a tire with low pressure (the contact radious to the road will decease so the tire has to spin faster so the comparison to the other will flag that tire). I don't remember reading about it in the manual, but check it as it should note this feature. Keep your tires evern pressure - mine is 32psi.
  7. The main item you can do with the new engines today it to clean the fuel injectors. You should add a cleaner yearly to a gas tank to do this. I have found that "Seafoam" works for me and others. You should also check your air filter. Keep it clean as it can mess up your fuel ratios if it get pluged up. I use a K&N filter with increased capacity and can clean it when it gets dirt. You plugs will last 100k miles. Aslo keep your tires up to pressure noted in your manual and should be noted on a door tag. Hope this Helps!
  8. My lexus is a 2012 RX350 purchased new. I have 65k miles on it and the battery is 3 yrs old. Most batteries last 3 yrs on average, I had one last 6 yrs but that is rare. I can tell when a battery is becoming weak by listing to the engine starting, if it struggles I know it time to change a batter is it has 2+ years on it. I just notice this struggle (slow start) and will now change the batter with a Diehard or a Interstate (best by consumers). I will go get a interstate at Cosco as it wat $70, a good price for a great batter. I was intrested in the Optima but though it was to expensive. Now looking for a way to change myself without losing my resets. I may hook up a jumper to keep 12v on system while changing the battery. Good Luck
