  1. Anyone need one? GX470 wheel and tire
  2. My never used spare wheel and tire from a GX470 with sport package. So the wheel is darker than non-sport package. Wheel and tire are in new condition (perfect) 12/32! 265-65-17 Expensive from the dealer and tire store. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...num=665SR7CTSUV $150 Oregon, 97405 541-954-4144 miriamjohn@comcast.net
  3. Now I have a new OEM full hitch which I bought from Sewell for a nice price of $330. I installed it and had it on for about 2 days and took it off. It is complete and looks new. I still have the Toyota box for shipping. I had to go with a smaller integral hitch so an oversized tire and KDSS would fit. I will sell it for $230.
  4. I just did mine and added my thoughts to this post. Visit My Website

  9. Looking to get some winter wheels size 17. ES 350 wheels in 17's have the same bolt pattern as RX 17's. The only difference is ES offset if 45mm and RX offset is 50mm. Not much difference in 5mm. Anyone see a problem with this?

  12. And for $200 you can get HID's on your GX from xenondepot.com
  13. To bad Toyota isn't listening to one of its top hydrogen fuel cel consultants, Katsuhiko Hirose, Fuel Cell Project general manager of Fuel Cell System Development Group. He was the first to describe the "5 miricles" it would take to ever get hydrogen up and running. http://techon.nikkeibp.co.jp/english/NEWS_...0080409/150240/ Bottom line, ever since the 1970's the industry has said it'll only be another 10years. Today what do they say? Only 10 more years. Worse thing is that the research money (IMO) could better be spent in workable technologies, like plug in hybrids. 'tis a pity. Agree, Hydrogen is a stupid way to go but it will get you to go to the pump every 500 mile etc. And this is why they are pouring so much money into it. The amount of energy that is needed to produce H is crazy for you to just produce electricity in your car to drive your E motors. Makes much more sence to just drive electric cars and make electricity in larger effecient ways. So yes to plugin Hybrids then total EV cars. Just say no to H and let the oil co die a rapid death. OK I am off my soap box now.
  14. Yes BMW had a similar system based on usage that trigered an oil change. I will save my Amsoil and Toyota filter change reciepts and change it every 10k. The bad man of warranty does not scare me. I will see Lexus in court if need be. But I doubt anything but good will come of this. Better for my engine, better for the environment etc. etc. This is why I bought a hybrid is't it?
  15. Lexus changes every 5k with dino oil but what if you use syn. Many other co. like BMW, BM go 10-20k if the use syn. Seems reasonable to go 10k with our 400h since we have a CVT (less stress), hybird (less engine use). I am running Amsoil syn in mine and at 5K old it is the same color as new. I am OCD about maintance but this seems like a waste to change at 5k with syn? Your thoughts?
  16. On the going green thing and pollution and all, Canada & China puts more CO2 in the atmosphere in one day then the entire USA put in the air in a year! I would like to see the source for this quote!
  17. Try simple things first. Check tire pressure cold in the AM. And make sure they are what is recomended in the door jam or the manual. After this try setting your suspension to different rates (softest to hardest) and see if that helps. You did not mention what tires you have on there OEM or aftermarket?
  18. I put this on my GX see review below but ordered the VAIS for my wife's RX. GX
  19. My dealer just started offering a fully integrated iPod interface made by Alpine for many new models without Sat radio. Cost $450 installed and $282 for parts. This is suppose to be all of Lexus USA. Anyone tried this yet?
  20. Runs fine, got the code off of a Scanguage II. Anyone have a list that can tell me what it is? Thanks PS Yes i checked my gas cap!
  21. That's exactly my experience with Walmart for oil changes. It's very convenient to shop while the work is being done until they mess up. In my case they left off the crush washer from the drain plug on my Porsche, tried twice to "solve the problem" with additional tightening of the drain plug, then argued with me about removing the plug to check out the problem because "they would lose all the new oil." Tom You took a Porche to Walmart! OMG
  22. We have them both and both are great rigs. But to pick one would be hard. The RX is nice around the city for short hauls with better mpg. The GX is the way to go for snow, rough roads, long hauls and increase loads. We drive the GX through a lot of snow this year and all I needed was good snow tires. Anyway you did not make a bad choice just one that fits your need better. If toyota offerd a a diesel GX in this country it would now be in my driveway!
  23. I think there will be a lot of diesel in our future. Based on what I saw in Europe. Read below. Everyone will be doing it. Diesel
