I have tinted rear doors, back glass and spoiler, however my personal opinion is that chrome wheels make the Lexus look cheap, look around, you see one with one without the without looks better... I have chrome on my 65 El Camino, they look great... If you get chrome make sure they are the best you can get other wise they get tarnished easier.. George Thanks George! You would still be able to drive until you turn it off by pressing the button. Sorry there's no timer for this as far as I know. :)

I don't think a premium package comes with ML and NAVI. However, if you can get all that for high $33s go for it!

How much are they? Personally, I don't really like it.

We're in So Cal. Our IS 250 got 20% on the rear (rear window, side window & 1/4 glass) and 40% on the 2 front side windows. The tint guy recommended that we do the 40% and no darker on the front because it is almost illegal - the cops can still see you & see if you are wearing a seat belt or not, It's pretty ironic that while we were there having the tint done, an off duty LAPD officer was there as well having her windows done. She actually commented that LAPD really don't look that hard @ tint but the CHP are FINATICAL about the tint being too dark. To them, it's their saftey possibly in jeopardy. If they "pinch" you, it's not just a fix it tix, you need to have the tint removed (at YOUR xpense) and then have it signed off by an officer. She said the best was to get the 40% on the front and if you're given a hassle tell the officer that this was the way it came from the dealer/factory (ie: that it is STANDARD) BTW .. the tint on the Madator Mica Red with G Spyders is sweeeet lookin' SMOOKIN' Benzoserviceguy, Where did you have your car tinted? Anybody know a good place in SoCal to get it done? Thanks all!

A week or so a go I had this problem. As I was backing up my IS into the garage, I noticed that the backup camera did not come up. It just showed the regular Map on the the screen. I then put the car into the P position then shifted to R again then the backup camera came up as normal. Had anyone ever experienced this? So far this was the only incident! Thanks all!

My plates just came in a few days ago. Here's the thing, I don't want to put on the front plate. I don't want to bring my car in to have the dealer install the front plate. Have you been driving without one? Is it legal? Do you get in trouble if you don't have it? By the way, I went to lunch today and counted the cars at the parking lot. About 27% of the cars don't have the front plate (that's 3 out of 11). Thanks all!

The car will run until someone shuts it off. Also, the only warning is on the message center in the dash; no audible warning signal. My car starts beeping anytime the key leaves it. Funny I didn't hear it that one day........ Wow this is so inconsistent! :) So does it beeps or no beeps?

Would you rather wash your IS yourself or bring it to the car wash? Have you ever had any bad experience where they damage your car at the car wash and if so, what did you do about it? I am thinking of taking my IS to a car wash but I am afraid that they would inadvertently damage it and I would not be able to do anything about it? Am I insane? Or is there anyone out there that can understand my fear? :)

I had a time that I dropped the car off to a valet, and forgot and took the key with me. They drove it away, but had to get my key in order to bring it back...... I was hoping that the engine will shut down automatically after 10 minutes or so once it senses that the key is not in proximity of the car.

I've tried that. I thought I did not hear any beep sound when I exited the car.

I'm just wondering if I forgot to turn the engine off (not pressing the button) and left with my control. Will the engine stay on or it would automatically shut off after a certain period of time? Thanks!

Have you tinted your is? If so what is the best way to go? brand? non-metallic/metallic? should i have lexus put on a spoiler for me? should i get chrome wheels? The trick is on step 6. It's kind of hard for me to keep pressing and holding the trip reset button while putting on the seatbelt. I have to switch hand (while still making sure that the reset button is pressed and held). Then the magic "b-off" showed up for me so I just switched to "b-on" and the rest is history... :) Good luck! The trick is on step 6.
