  1. I am looking at purchasing a new LS 460 AWD. I went to my local dealer yesterday and the sticker was at $72,000 with Navigation. What is a reasonable price to pay currently given the market and all carmakers struggles (even though Toyota/Lexus is less than most)? Also is it worth spending the extra money for the AWD or is the front wheel drive good enough? Thanks in advance, Aaron
  2. My garage door opener is old (over 15 years) and is not compatible with the Homelink system in my new '08 RX 350. Does anyone know of a converter that will allow my car to communicate with the opener? Aaron P.S. I want the dealer to install the Satellite Radio but they want $850, has anyone gotten it done for significantly less?
  3. I just purchased an '08 RX 350 AWD with the premium plus package yesterday and was wondering what others that have bought recently paid and what your monthly payments are. I bought an ES 350 a little over a year ago and still love it. Also does anyone know why Lexus offers an AWD model and a FWD model? Thanks in advance. Aaron
  4. Make sure that on your phone you have it set under settings, connections, bluetooth that the bluetooth is powered on all the time. If it is not then the phone will only connect when you select Find Me. Also make sure that you set the Handsfree as trusted.
  5. It wasn't for an install, it was for getting the satelite radio as an option.
  6. Thank you. I contacted Lexus Corporate and explained to them my problem and my dealings with the dealer and they said they would hand it off to a specialist and they would contact me within a couple of days after they spoke to the dealer. Has anyone had any similar expierences with this type of problem or with Lexus Customer Satisfaction? I will keep you up to date with how they handle it and the final result.
  7. It is amazing how much Lexus charges to make satelite radio standard. If I wanted I could put a kit in for somewhere around $600 with the purchase of the unit and Lexus wanted $2000. Quite the premium for seemless integration.
  8. Wow, assuming he didn't put down an absurd amount of money that is a great deal. I got mine for $665 a month with the service plan. (I am leasing) I would be surprised to see a huge desparity in prices, barring large down payments and exceedingly long contracts, due to the fact that they are still selling well and Lexus doesn't seem to need to negotiate too much.
  9. Infiniti in general seems to have more buttons and more options. The "Infiniti Controller" comes standard with the LCD screen and many other equivalent models from other companies such as the 5 Series come with Navigation. I still love my ES 350 and would suggest it but I would have loved to have the iDrive or Audi's equivalent. That is really the only negative with the interior though, I think the leather is nicer than others and the wood as well.
  10. I don't know if you have purchased it yet or not but both cars are great, I test drove both as well. The ES 350 is much different than Infiniti, less sporty and less gadgets, however as I am sure you know it drives incredibly smooth, assuming there is no transmission problem like mine. In regard to snow, no car does great but it isn't worse than any other. You can't go wrong with either car.
  11. I want to preface this by saying that I posted before my problem that the transmission was "jumping" between what seemed to be first to second and a member informed me that it was a transmission flare. So I took it into my Lexus dealer and told them that this was happening and that it was a transmission flare and they acknowldeged there was a problem, however they test drove two other cars and they were doing it too and that they told me that they couldn't do anything for me. So I accepted the anwser since the problem was not a huge deal. However it started to get worse between 2500 miles and 5000 miles. So when I brought it in for 5,000 I told them again and they tested it again and still wouldn't budge. How do I approach them so they will fix my problem? Thank you in advance. Aaron Dollinger
