Hank Brandenburg

I ordered it - smoky granite exterior and grey interior. I ordered all of the options EXCEPT executive seating (over the top) and touring package (precludes other desired options). I did add the air suspension, and radar cruise control/collision avoidance system. I wanted to order the lexus rear seat video but it is not available seperately; it is bundled with the executive seating package. The dealer (Pohanka) works with an aftermarket company that installs these and they warranty them with the car. Apparently we're just heading into the transition period between the 2007/2008 model years. My sales guy does not expect major feature or price changes so I'm targeting a 2007. Does anybody have any info on updates to the car for the 2008 MY? Also I forgot to discuss extended warranties - does anybody have any experience with the lexus offering? He gave me a target of August to receive the car ... looks like 90 days or so of ANTICIPATION for Hank. I'll continue to live vicariously through our board members until then!

Folks - I put a deposit down on a 600hL back in January, as I was very intrigued by this model. After what I've read, I can't see paying all the extra money for so little (if any) gain. In some ways it is less desirable to me ... I just switched from an LS600hL to an LS460L customer! Now, does anyone know when the 2008 model year will LS460 be released?

Anybody hearing news on the 600? Last I heard was "spring 2007 as a 2008 model". Any info, even rumor, would be appreciated.

Thanks for the input everyone ... I wasn't very clear on my inquiry. I am sure they will charge me list for the 600, I was just curious if anyone was making "deals" on the 460s. I can still opt out of the 600 if I want to.

I've placed a deposit to get in line for an LS 600hL, hopefully being delivered next spring. I'm curious about the purchase experience of those that have already bought and/or taken delivery of their 460: 1 - What price are you having to pay relative to MSRP? 2 - How long is delivery taking once order is placed? 3 - Are there other options available that are not listed on the Lexus web site? 4 - Any recent specifics on the 600 configuration? Any info will be much appreciated, as I am settling in for a long wait!
