  1. If you have ML, your car can play DVD. To get the DVD hack, 3 wire cuts and 2 connections are necessary, and if you install a switch, you can also do the navi override. If you don't have ML, your car can't play DVD. However, the bypass hack will give you the ability to dial out from BT while in-motion and browse MP3 folders. You only need to cute 2 wires and make one connection. This applies to both 06 and 07; however, one of the wires is different between the 2 years.
  2. To remove the gaps, you could look into buying another iPod. I know the 2nd gen nano and the video iPods don't have the gap between tracks.
  3. The answer is obvious for you, get the 5. Don't get a car that doesn't wow you.
  4. I believe there should be local shops that do it. Call around tire shops and they should be able to help. Or maybe body shops as well.
  5. Or you could gain access to the back of the navigation unit and depending on your model (ML or not), cut some wires and have the override for both DVD/BT and navi address input while in-motion!
  6. Which iPod do you have? i.e. my first gen Nano has the pause inbetween tracks and it's got nothing to do with the VAIS unit.
  7. How do you clean/install a new MAFS??? I haven't touched anything on the RX yet... My check engine light's on but I think it's because I didn't screw in the gas cap tight enough to the point it clicks last time... I was in a hurry... Thanks!
  8. yeah, the 99, 00 have the red ones... 01 and up have the silver inside... I saw this place that carries the black inside... doesn't look bad... PM me or something if you wanna see pics... I'll send you the link...
  9. Yes there is a one-time complimentary replacement of the ECU. I thought I lost both my master keys when I moved, so I called the 1800 Lexus Customer Service number, they got the local Lexus dealer parts manager on the phone and ordered a new ECU and a new master key. I only had to pay for the key, which was 251 plus 87 labor. But then I found my keys the next day unpacking... So... I called'em back, cancelled the ECU, but they already got the master key and stuff, so then they offered to pay for HALF of the key! So I'm only paying like 150 for a new master key. good deal I think :-) And I still have the one time free replacement of the ECU in case I lose all 3 master keys in the future.
