  1. Hi anewname, there is someone by the name of markmustangs in the ES forum who is having the exact same problem that I am with his '93 ES300. His post is called "Extremely slow acceleration". Anyway I definitely don't think this is normal as even if I push the pedal all the way to the floor the engine will not respond on cold starts. My question to you anewname is when you start your car in the morning after it being off and parked all night, does you rpms clime when u push the pedal down??? This is what my car doesn't do, and the hint that I'm getting from the posts in the other forum is that there may be a vacuum problem. I haven't researched to find out the similarities and differences between the engines in the ES300 and the GS300 but the problem this person is having is identical to mine. I have already replied to that posting, but I would like you guys' help since you have the exact car as mine. Since it is summer, the car warms up pretty fast and I don't have a major issue with this right now. However, I live in New York City and I'm worried that this is going to be more of a problem when the cold weather rolls around.
  2. Hey guys, I have a 93 GS300 and I'm experiencing the exact same issue as you guy have or had. If the problem is with the VSVs, what is the best way to take care of this issue??? Should I just take it to the dealer and have them look at the problem???
  3. Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and I've just recently purchased my '93 GS300. My question to you all is regarding acceleration of the vehicle, especially to those of you who have high mileage on their vehicles (150K+). I've noticed that when starting the vehicle after being parked for several hours, my car doesn't accelerate very well. I would be pulling out of my parking spot and floor the pedal but the rpms clime very slowly and the car seems like it takes forever to accelerate. Now I'm comparing this to 2 previous new vehicles I've owned, both of which when u simply tap the gas pedal, the rpms fly and the cars take off. Now when the car finally starts accelerating properly after a while, I don't experience this problem anymore, meaning that if I'm stopped at a red light and I push the gas pedal, it accelerates fine. Any advice you guys can give me in regards to this issue would be very helpful. Thanks.
