i was wondering if anybody has found a good way to boost the highway mpg on their rx300's. i'm not all that concerend about hp, all i care about is trying to save some money at the pump. :snoooorrrtttt:

so, ive only owned a 2000 Rx300 for a short time maybe half of a year and its got about 80k miles on it and im debating on trading it in for a 2001 range rover with 75k miles on it. with all the great tranny stories around maybe shelling out the extra money on gas isnt a completely bad idea. does anybody have any Opinions on this idea. i like my Rx but i dont like being stranded on a cold road in the middle of winter either.

With the cold weather here I'm wondering what the best decision is for warming the the vehicle so it will shift into top gear on the highway as soon as possible... I'm just looking for a way out of running through the snow back and forth from my house just to wait for the car to warm up. And do you have any suggestions and what brand/model works best hahaha this smilely face looks like me in the cold winter morning

20 now 19 when i got it... after i tossed away my football scolly i had to get my jollies some other way. so i bought myself a 2000 RX300 with 64k on it and love every second im in it. the soccer mom who owned it before me had a sweet flip down DVD player in it for her kids so thats just an extra toy i dont even use but its nice to have. i took it out hunting last weekend an splattered mud all over it! and the chicks dig the ride on campus! i might have to keep it forever just for the pure love of its style

yeah i have the same stupid problem is my 2000 rx300... its gettin cold for the winter time and my tranny wont shift in 4th until the temp bar has reached at least the Cold part. this is a problem cuz i live 1/2 from a major highway and dont want to put my engine through 4500 rpms till it warms up... to solve the problem i make my little sister start my car and warm it up while i get ready for school... best idea ever!
