  1. Greetings, I have a 1993 GS300 which runs great but I noticed that it is heating up. I checked the T-stat its ok. Pressure tested the radiator and its good als. Finally I found that there is a hose right at the back on the top very close to the firewall whose one side connects to the engine and the other side connects to the "Flush/Fill" connector which is then connected to a control mechanism which is regulated depending if the heater is running or the AC. This hose is easily visible on the top right part of the engine at the very back. Fluid squirts out at the base where this hose connects to the engine. There is no clamp there, and am not sure how that hose fastens and how to replace this so the fluid will stop squirting out and the car not heat up. I don't want to just pull it out and find that I have created another problem. I also noticed that the fluid squirts out when there is pressure caused when the accelerator is pressed high (so when car is running fast) and when the AC is turned on. Any ideas or suggestions. Has someone else had this problem and could you share with me as to how this was fixed. I could take it to the shop but I am a fairly handy guy and have done a lot of work on the car myself so want to take a crack it it with some guidance. Thanks. Viraf
  2. Successs. radiator installed and the car is runing good. Just wanted to share that to remove the hoses, the best tool was caliper pliers. Just rotate the hose slightly so it loosens and then they are easy to take out. Thanks to all for your encouragment - that its not hard to do. Viraf
  3. Thanks to all that have responed to my request. I will put the radiator in Friday and wanted to know if there is any trick to filling the coollant and any special kind that i should use. I was planning to add the coolant to the radiator and put some in the reservoir cap. Will that work. Thanks again to all. You guys are awesome and give me a great deal of confidence to do this. Viraf
  4. I am new to this forum and am hoping that someone can help me understand if there are any pitfalls that I should avoid before I start to replace my radiator on my 1993 GS300 which has developed a hairline crack in the radiator on the top surface. The car heats up very fast and I can see the steam come out from the crack which is just under the casing for the airfilter which sits above the radiator in the center of the car. Any suggestions on where I could buy the radiator and hoses. The car has 124k miles on it and so decided to replace the radiator rather than have it repaired. Thanks . Viraf
  5. Michael - I replaced my rear pads and it was a pretty straight forward job. Just had to make sure that the clips, springs and spacers that were on the original pads were moved on the new ones. I used oem pads which have a lifetime warranty and purchased them from Autozone here in Dallas ($26). The are great no problems. Good luck. Viraf
  6. I am getting ready to replace the brake pads on my 1993 GS300 this weekend. Are there any insights on if this is a task to undertake or does this require special tools and not worth the headache. I have replaced pads many times on my other cars, just have never done this on a Lexus. Any recomendations :P
