I have posted an earlier problem similar to yours. I have a 95 SC400 and my o/d light is blinking now too, and when it started I notived my cruise control shut down and is still not working. I don't notice any gear problems, just blinking light. I haven't had time to take it to Lexus yet. Would appreciate knowing what ever you find out.

I own a 1995 SC400 coupe. While driving on turnpike the other day, the cruise control suddenly turned itself off (thought I might have heard a low noise but maybe not). When I tried re-engaging, the light on the panel wouldn't even come on. The next day panel light would come on but cruise still doesn't work. Coincidently now the overdrive panel light flashes on and off sometimes randomly but most often with a constant frequency (overdrive switched on). Overdrive seems to be functioning properly except for indicator light. These two problems must be related!!! I'm afraid that I might damage something if I keep driving. Please help!!!
