  1. My 2012 Mercedes is also RWD and has all kinds of traction things. I jacked that one too to compare. Both wheels spin on that! I would assume same on a 1995 RWD Lexus.
  2. Also the car makes clunking noise before coming to a full stop when I apply brakes.
  3. 1995 LS400 original owner with 80K miles on it. The car started making grinding noise while driving. I jacked up the car from behind, and put it in drive. The rear driver side wheel does not spin when I put it in drive and press on the gas. Any input before i order left rear axle and open it up?
  4. 1995 LS400 with 88K miles. The bushings are shot due to age. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Upper-Control-Arm-Lower-Ball-Joint-Kit-Set-of-2-for-95-97-Lexus-LS400/371755077877?fits=Model%3ALS400&epid=28005333571&hash=item568e5450f5:g:ztwAAOSwfrJZv8f1&vxp=mtr
  5. Has anybody replaced them? I am sure its not the hub assembly which can be replaced.
  6. I have a 95 LS400 with only 60K miles. I changed the leather seat covers and in the process broke the plastic panel behind the drivers seat( The one you see when sitting on the rear seat). What is this part called and where can I buy? Mine is grey color.
  7. 1995 LS400. Toyata part number 87165-50010. Is there a cross reference part which can be bought cheaper. The lowest I have found is $70 at ebay for a used one.
  8. 1995 LS400. I need to remove the glove box to get to the blower. Anybody has the schematic as to which screws to remove?
  9. How much do they cjarge to reupholster them? I have the seats out already. It looks like a lot of hog rings to put!!!!!!!

  11. They will not repair the frame. I bet you they will total it. Also be prepared to haggle for the amount.
  12. There are a couple of dealers out of cleveland who sell cars on ebay at well below wholesale prices. I checked few cars at their lot. All of them had collision history with frame damage on carfax. Be careful.
  13. Every manual I have read on any car says "Do not add any additives".
  14. The best way to find out the mileage is fill the tank up, drive for 200 miles and fill it up again. Once you do that you will find that your car gives around 18-20 mpg, which is ok for a V8.
  15. Just got 10 toyota filters for $38 deliverd to my house. Is synthetic oil recommended or regular is just fine?
  16. I just got a 95 LS400 from my dad. The car has only 40K( yes) miles on it. He kept it in an airconditioned garage in california and drove very little. The car still looks brand new. I changed the spark plugs(NGK iridium), air filter, oil and filter, differential oil. Everything that I changed looked new!!!. I put a bosch oil filter, which after reading this forum, I assume is not a good idea. Can somebody give me a toyota part number so that I can get some from the local toyata dealer?
