  1. If only life was so simple... According to Thule, all their trailer htich will not work with LX 470, 2004. Tire is in the way for the pin to fit and they do not support/recoomand using extenders. I also talked to Lexus, there is no other option so it seems. *sigh* Hello, If you have the hitch thats integrated in the bumper, then you're going to have to cut the Thule down until it does fit. If its the attatchment type of hitch and its "under" the bumper, then it should fit just fine. The problem is that the hitches integrated into the bumpers are to close to the spare tire causing anything longer than the hitch, to hit the spare. I had this same problem and had to actually cut down the Thule a bit so it wouldnt hit the spare tire anymore. I've had this for several years now with endless amounts of bikes hitched up, and its a 4 bike rack, so it does tend to get heavier than most, and i havent had any problems at all. Good luck!
  2. I too would like to add a back up camera to my 2003 US LX470. Does anyone know if the wires excist to add in a back up camera and have it triggered to turn on when you put it into reverse? AFF12003, On my old RX330, the "rear off" button was for the rear flip down screen and I'm assuming that is what this is for as well. Not for the back up camera because these body style LX's dont offer the option of being able to turn on the back up camera without having to put it into reverse to trigger it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  3. Has anyone found out the problem to this? I have been searching for days and no luck! If anyone has the answer, please reply or give me the link to the post if it has already been discussed? Its starting to annoy me now that I upgraded my sub and my stereo keeps cutting out when the bass is to high or the volume is to high? I've heard it could be the "ohm's" of the actual speaker vs. the amp. Could this be true? Am I using a sub with a lower ohm than the amp is able to push out? If so, does anyone happen to know the ohm of the amp? HELP PLEASE! This is killing me! Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!! :)
  4. Hi all, I am a new member but have been hovering in the backround for many years! my 2004 RX330 just got totaled a little over a month ago and just got into an 03 LX470 and I love it! this thing blows the RX away! Anyways, just wanted to let anyone else know that this thing does work WITHOUT the module! Very easy and it took me about 30 minutes to do. I actually did it on my lunch break! It does look very intimidating, but if you follow these directions to the very last detail, it shouldnt be no problem! Now, if anyone out there knows or has done the bypass for the Nav that allows you to input addresses while your moving, that would take out most if not all the cons of the LX470's navigation/ dvd! Anyone know if this has been done? The button taps on the volume screen dont seem to work on the 03's. Oops, sorry, I shouldve read the posts more thouroughly! It works perfect, no problems! Thanks.
