I own a 2001 IS 300 that i just bought a few weeks ago. and i now have a little light that comes up. it shows the car and a bunch of little lines comming from the back of it... it only comes on when i push the brake.. but it dosnt go away after i push it... can some one help me. i dont want to go changing brakes if i dont need to.

Check your brake lights. It should meam you have one out.

I got them working, One was loose connection, and the other was blown.

I thought only the side marker lights was park lights. Thanks to bartkat's link I found out different.

Near as I can tell from the parts diagram, they're "clearance" lights. ?

clearance for what? If you look at this months Modified magizine with Jeff Wilson's IS 300 in it his little light is on!

DUH! I was thinking high and typed low.

Yes it is highbeam for DRL

Mine uses the low beam at reduced voltage. Have tried eveerything to get the small bulb to come on but it won't.

I am a Newbie to Lexus and this board, So glad to be here and really glad to have a Lexus. Even if it is used! I just bought a 2002 IS 300 and was wondering about the small light bulb in the low beam headlight reflector. How do you get it to come on?
