  1. Good day all - I have a 2007 ES350 with the in dash navi. Can someone walk me through connecting a phone to stream audio via bluetooth? I have a few phones that I use in the car to make phone calls via bluetooth, but i dont understand how one streams music. Please advise.
  2. Good day all - I have a 2007 ES350 with the in dash navi. Can someone walk me through connecting a phone to stram audio via bluetooth? I dont see the option of "pairing a music player" as LexiIRX330 states. Also, i havent posted in a while but i'd like to give a shoutout to SW03ES for suggesting the Michelin Primacy tires a few years back. Ive put about 55,000 miles on those tires and they still ride great.
  3. Thanks guys. The tint is is the the same shade all the way around, it's just the way the light is hitting the car in that pic that makes it look lighter. To be honest, i dont know what the percentage is, lol. I only know that it's the lightest option in the 'illegal' category here in MD. I didnt want the tints to be dark because i dont like the way that contrasts with white cars.
  4. Lex Bob, I have the same color ES350, but my interior is black. I was never into tinted windows until my daughter came into the picture. She would freak out whenever the sun would hit her face, even with those car window shades they sell at the baby stores. I figured the only solution was to tint the windows, and that did the trick. The sun no longer beamed into the car and my daughter no longer freaked out:) I have pictures on page 4 or 5 of this forum, i think the title of the post is "Yoko's vs Michelin".
  5. I'm looking for a used 350...07-09. I live in Columbia, but the last 2 winters have been brutal.
  6. Sdubb, you rock! Thanks for your input, it's always appreciated. I test drove an IS350 last weekend and it is a fun car. My issue now is that the 350 only comes in RWD. I live in Maryland, where the winters can be unpredictable and from what I hear RWD vehicles suck in the snow.. I test drove the GS when I bought my current car, but I thought that it was too heavy. Ive owned all ES models so far and although I love it, Im ready to drive something a little more fun with some kick to it.
  7. I forgot to add that I agree with what one of the posters said in that the 250 is slow. I couldn't believe how slow the car was in comparison to the ES.
  8. Thanks again for the advice guys. I dropped off my car this morning for an oil change and asked if I could have an IS as a loaner for the day. I've had it for abou 7 hours and although it's a fun car to drive, I prefer the ES as it is a much more comfortable and plush ride. The one option I did enjoy was the Mark Levinson audio system. I never gave that a second thought when I purchased my ES but WHOA! What a difference! My next Lexus will definitely have that option. Thanks again for all that shared their thoughts.
  9. Thanks for the replies. You guys are reinforcing my thoughts of sticking with the ES.
  10. I currently drive an 07ES350, but im considering purchasing an IS250. I would like to hear the experience of anyone that has gone from one Lexus model to the IS. Do you regret it? What would you say are the pros and cons of your switch? Do you regret it? Are the rear seats as small as i read they are? Thanks in advance for any answers.
  11. I finally put the Primacy MV4's on the car. The ride is smooth and comfortable. Thanks again for the recommendation.
  12. Thank you all for your comments. i ordered the Primacy's on Friday and im looking forward to a smoother ride. SW, you and Stevie J actually helped me pick out the rims you see on the white car back in 2005...or maybe 2006 - I havent been on this site in a while though. im glad the site is still up because ive learned so much about the ES reading all the posts.
  13. Sklongbro, i have the same size on my ES350 and i cant take it anymore, lol!! im going back to the stock rims and tires becasue the ride just isnt the same with the 18inch tires and rims.
  14. I recently purchased a 2007 ES350 (ill try to attach a photo). I had a set of 225/45/18 on my 2003 ES 300 that i put on the new ES. I didnt put the 18's on the car until after maybe a week or so of driving on the stock rims and tires, which were very smooth. I purchased a new set of Yokohama Avid Envigor's 225/45/18) but the ride is rough and i feel every nook and cranny on the road. Im going to put the stock rims back on the car, but i was wondering if anyone could share their Yokohama Avid Envigor experience. I've read the many posts praising the Michelin Primacy so im trying to decide between the two. Any help is much appreciated.
  15. Rarely do i comment on the boards, especially with pics of detailed cars. Usually the cars look nice and clean, but goodness gracious great balls of hot spitting fire...dude, you do awesome work!
  16. i try to use the paste whenever possible steve, as i work mostly by hand, hoever with waxes like gold class luquid and #26 you are right. with darker colors, letting these dry are a no-no. i find on my lighter colored car that if i dont let it dry, i get the same effect the OP is experiencing. BlackOnyx, i own a Black 2003 ES300, same as yours and trust me, everything that these guys have advised you on will get you the look you're looking for. Claying your car is crucial getting that "COTDAMMY!!" reaction. when i first bought my car i was ignorant to claying, polishing, and all the prep work one should do before applying wax. I would just wax my car with Meguires cleaner wax and call it a day. However, one day i went through the entire process, clay, polish, cleaner wax, yadda yadda, and ill tell ya the results were amazing! All that to say, CLAY YOUR CAR!!!!
  17. Thank you all for your informative answers. I'll stop by the dealership tonight to see what's included in the price. to gotogordo - i have 86k on my vehicle.
  18. does that price sound right to everyone? I have never changed the timing belt on any of my vehicles, this will be the first time. However, i have had the timing belt changed in my wife's Acura and it was pretty expensive. I checked the Lexus dealership and they said the B change would cost me $550. Then i went to the Toyota dealership and they said that they were running a special and the TB change would cost $140. Will Toyota use the same parts as Lexus? sounds like a good deal, what do you think? Please advise....
  19. Thanks ess dubb! i think someone on this site was raving about these(http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+All+Season&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=245YR8F1ASXL&fromCompare1=yes) I think it was Stevie J. Stevie, was it you?
  20. Hey gang, this board was helpful in helping me choose a set of performance tires and rims for my 2003 ES 300. Well, i need your help again! I was wondering if anyone could suggest a set of all season tires (225/45/18) that will be more quiet than the Bridgstone Potenza S03's i have on there now. I love the performance of the Bridgestones but they are just loud. Thanks for your help.
  21. Thanks fellas. Update on the wheels and tires. I never purchased performance tires for any of my vehicles in the past and all i have to say about performance tires is WOW! I didn't anticipate the gret performance but i'm extremly happy. I purposely bought this vehicle to curb my aggressive driving, but ummmm...i've reverted back and now i'm cornering as if i were driving a BMW:-) in the words of Steve, these tires are "schweet"!
  22. Thanks again for all the advice fellas. I had the tires rebalanced (Hunter Force) and that took care of the vibration at the high speed. Two days later someone rear-ended me and scratched up my rear bumper. It wasn't a hard hit, but enough to cause visual damage. The car is in the shop now so i only got to ride on the rims for a few days. I should have the ride back on the road in a few days.
  23. Thanks again fellas. Question for you experts. I noticed that the ride is a little different. Are these 18" tires and rims having an effect on the suspension of the car? Also, when i hit about 75-80mph i feel some vibration in the steering wheel. I know that the TireRack balances their tires before sending them out, but i'm going to have them balanced again just to be sure. Steviej - The tires are Bridgestone Potenza S03's 225/45/18 (took your suggestion and didn't go with the 235's). I enclosed a side profile pic for you as well.
