UPDATE OK,well the suspension should be finished this week, the HKS hipermax II will be on along with the rose jointed top mounts, this will give me 22 way damping and rebound control, plus hight adjustment, front and rear. Also this week all the chassis rubber bushes were replaced with poly bush TRD replacements, this was one hell of job,this included all the subframe bushes aswell as every bush on the steering and differential, along with the TRD sway bars and chassis braces already fitted from TRD this thing should stick to the road like **** to a blanket i am presently in talks with HKS europe to get a "discount" on parts, if the "discount" is good enough i will go for the full 700bhp conversion now rather than do it in 2 parts........lets see mat
  3. oi oi....and here i am the biggest problem, and theres many, is the electronics, you would be better t use the 6 speed getrag however finding one will be a bit like trying to find rocking horse sheit........i managed :D (where abouts in Canada, my parents live in Kamloops BC)

  6. yep......however we managed to get it most of the way in, before the heater pipes fouled the rear turbo inlet, the sump was fouled on the subframe and a few other bits just wern't where they should be :D
  7. ok........ first test fit of engine, didnt go well, i need to buy an Aristo sump, i know how to solve the engine mounts. i would have posted the pic but i cannot get it to upload

  9. what anoys me about the shooting down is, that if the transponder wasnt working on that plane, then why was it actually the first plane in the 2 plane flight that was targeted............ i think theres questions to be asked, as this happened during the grenade tragedy at the 101st.......was it trigger happiness
  10. when i was in the first Gulf war, A10's hit 2 british personel carriers killing 9 of the guys in afganistan canadians were bombed, and now the patriots have shot down a british fighter plane, im sorry but this is not a good reflection on the american forces............ there should be no excusses for whats happemed, trigger happiness because your on edge isnt exceptable im forces, and to be honest, i am always a little weary of working with some US forces, as i often see similer things that never get reported, for political reasons. this isnt a brush on you all, but just got to vent my anger as like i say i have seen this to often

  13. its very easy to do, i cut the old mesh out with a pair of snips, then filed back all the crap to the very fine line that can be seen if you look closely. i never bothered fittiong new mesh in the end as id just polished my intercooler and i wanted to show that, but mesh can be fitted relativly easily
  14. drive it how you would drive it normally, try to take it on routes you know and test the esentials, brakes.......lightly and from speed. always try to see the car started from cold.....smoke and rattles and try to find a hill so you can labor the car, and listen for bottom end knocks and rattles try to get the car on a ramp, so you can see underneath it, many people will clean the outside and in, but the underside will show how the cars been treated, is it covered in mud and oil, is there damage
  15. well modern lexus are fitted with a multiplex system, there are 6 ecu fitted to the is300 for things like engine(and gearbox if auto) power windows moonroof alarm and security features aircon and radio features and there is a seperate ecu to power the instument cluster
  16. i have gone for the 2jz-gte, because the aimed HP that we want to be able to run reliably on is 600-700bhp. however we will be aiming to dyno the car at 1000bhp with Gas, then de-tune back to 600bhp. many idea's not so much time or an endless bank account the engine originally fitted was a supercharged 2litre 6 cylinder with 6 speed stick
  17. shared project...its kinda going slow at the moment, we keep changing ideas. will keep ppl informed as thinks start moving more swiftly
