Would you sell me your upgrade DVD?

What year is your GX? What was the exact name on the Upgrade DVD and how much did you pay for it and where did you buy if from?

My 04 doesn't have Bluetooth

I have an extra used one. And no - you wouldn't be able to watch the movie on the back screen without the remote.

Well, I had finally got it done :) . And as promised - they did bring me the loaner, picked up my truck and brought it back. At the end - problem fixed. It does drive so much better than before. After all - I would probably be happy to stuck with Lexus for the rest of my life. GX rocks!!

It is apparently not that easy. Even so I've been told in the past that all Lexus DVD's are back compatible - they are not. We just tried to update my 04 GX470 with the Nav Disc from ES350 (version 5.01) and got an Error Disk message. After phoning Lexus Dealer - you apparently have to have a specific upgrade for your specific Nav Unit. They wouldn't go into specifics as far as whether 6.01 version from 07 GX 470 would work with my 04 GX or whether I need to order special version of 6.01 for the older GX. And of course - they would offer it to you for 269$ which is a bit pricy. Any one knows how to figure it out so I can order the proper disc from E'bay?

Well, the question remained - how do you get DVD Navigagion from the player? Is there one inside? Any time I am pushing the DVD Navigagion reject button it is actually looking for a DVD to be inserted. Does it mean that it is Hard Drive based Navigation system? Does it only use DVD's for upgrades?

How long do you need to wait for the parts nowadays? Can't help it - need to make a comment as far as "exceed expectations". I had ordered the parts back in August. Got my GX470 to the dealer at the end of September and few hours later received the call - ooops, we are sorry, but your parts are not here. So, they had promised to do whatever they can to order the parts ASAP. According to their manager they had contacted Lexus headquaters and had pull some strings to get the parts shipped the same week. Of course, they had also promised to pick up my truck from my house and deliver it back. It has been almost another 2 months now - I had neither got my parts nor phone call so far - way to go Kuni Lexus in Denver!! ))

Anybody alive around here? Need help with upgrading - how do I do that? Just put DVD with new version into the drive and it would do it automatically?

What about other then Toyota dealers, or for that matter - other mechanical shops - could we do oil changes there or would it void Lexus Warranty?

I have 04 GX and have been using 87 since the day I'd bought it - never noticed any "pings" in the engine and am very pleased with acceleration. Would not go any higher unless otherwise specified in the manual.

So is it possible to upgrade DVD Navigation on my 04 GX470 to the bluetooth unabled one with just a DVD upgrade? Also, does anybody know of any way to make that unit to play mp3 files? It is a shame - my wife's Sienna has a 6 CD changer with mp3 playback and Lexus still doesn't have it on on GX for 07 model (((
