I have 93 Lexus ES300, too. I have similar problems: white smoke, gas-smell, high RPM in low gear, really bad gas consumption. I am also wondering if changing ECM can fix these. Thanks.

Hi This is my first post here. My driver side back window can not be up and down. After checking, there is a small plastic part of window regulator that hold the wire is broken. The mech. tell me I have to replace the window regulator. Is it ture?? Because the whole set of window regulator will cost me more than $500... Is there any other way to repair it ??? Thanks a lot!
