  1. There's a small square shaped vent thingy on the dash near the keyhole area, it's hard to explain but it's positioned in front of your right knee... behind that small vent there's some sort of temperature sensor thing... when I installed my alarm I forgot to plug that thing back into it's harness and I experience the same thing you did. Try that, maybe it's causing your problem. If anyone can reply with the actual name of the parts I'm referring to, it would help LOL
  2. I didn't really have that "immature ricer persona" when I had an S14... too old for that =D ...oh, and the picture might have been old on the avitar, but I added the "Kay" part to it a couple years ago, so wrong person
  3. Sorry, those wheels are gone now, I'm currently rolling on these: B)
  4. ^ I ordered a 10-pack of W5W's (to have some extras) and I'm positive this will fix the problem
  5. It's the accessory cup holder; it was with the car when I bought it. yep, another cupholder...consider yourself lucky its gone because imho its pretty useless. actually if you get the right-sized air freshener it drops right in there and doesn't rock around like a cup would B)

  7. Well I got a new owners manual in the mail today, and after reading through it, it does say 5.0 watt bulbs for the parking lights. I did some more reserach, and found the following: - type 194 wedge bulbs (the ones I used) are rated at 3.78w; that's 1.22 below 5.0w. - type 168 wedge bulbs are rated at 4.9w, still 0.1 below factory specifications. - type W5W wedge bulbs are rated at a full 5.0w, but are ECE (European standard) and might be hard to find in the U.S. (I haven't searched around yet) Now then, since the "bulb out" circuit measures current draw, it's possible that if you switch to type 168 bulbs on all locations, the dummy light will go off, depending on the sensitivity of the current draw circuit. Some people have said that they replaced all bulbs and this worked; it's safe to assume that if they were all "off the shelf" wedge bulbs from an auto parts store, that they were type 168 bulbs. That said, if I don't find a convenient and resonably priced place to get W5W bulbs, I think I'm going to try going type 168 for all the parking lights :) EDIT: W5W is also known as a type 501 wedge bulb. EDIT 2: There are many places in the U.S. and on Ebay to get type 501 bulbs, I'm going to get a set and it should fix the problem =)
  8. Okay, so the wheels I'm getting are available in 4 colors: gold, silver, black, and gray. I didn't get to the gray, but I managed to do some Pshop work to compare: I can't decide as all 3 colors shown above look good to me. What do you think? :D
  9. Hmmm... what about clear-coating them after the buff job? SK, can you post some close-ups with the clear-bra on?
  10. Did a quick google search and found this: http://www.autogeek.net/3mautapprod.html which one exactly did you use? There's like 3 with the "perfect-it 2" name
  11. Just want to introduce myself, I've been lurking around here for about 2 months now. I recently purchased a 1995 SC300 5-Speed, here's some pics: ...and some have seen this already - it's a Pshop job (LOL): She's in excellent condition, paint is good, interior is almost perfect (usual crack on door sill, and crack in A/C center vent), Engine is clean and well kept, it was dealer serviced it's entire life. I have Espelir springs sitting in the box in my trunk (I need to get those installed, I'm getting lazy to do it myself) and I also have 19"s on the way. Quick background... I used to be very active in 240sx forums, as that was my previous car. I decided to sell my 240sx last month because I needed a larger, "more mature" car. I'm not newb to cars or forums, so I know how it goes... just gotta get the feel for people here. So far I've learned a lot reading through the SC300 threads. Hopefully I can contribute as much as I did in the 240sx forums the last 3 years :D
  12. The girlfriend noticed the other day that when the passenger-side window is lowered as far as it will go, there's still a good 1/2" of window sticking up from the slot, but my drivers side window goes all the way down. Is this normal (I doubt it)? I just picked up my SC300 a couple of weeks ago, so I've been reading up and learning the new car :)
  13. I think I'm gonna try replacing all taillight bulbs this weekend, see if that does anything
  14. Searched the rest of the forum, and found this: I wonder if this is the reason why my dummy light is still on, as I used 198 bulbs... I'll try finding some 138's.
