  1. Thanks for your responses. Since I plan on keeping the car a while, I've ordered both servos. Chip L.
  2. '02 RX300 120k miles Air diverted to defrost vents only. No air though front center or lower vents. Air does exit from L/R front side vents. Have not run codes as my daughter has the car. I recently had the clicking servo issue behind the glove box with the blend door motor. Cleaned grease from contacts and climate control has worked fine for 3 months or so. Thoughts appreciated. Chip L Charlotte
  3. 2001 RX300 AWD 152K Single beep / chime while driving as transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. The beep is repeatable (every time from 1st to 2nd). No 'trouble' lights appear. Thoughts appreciated. Chip
  4. I answered my own question while writing the post. I hook up the dead Nav DVD which I originally pulled to repair and the speakers work fine.
  5. 2001 RX300 with standard stereo. Navigation however the Nav is totally dead. I've pulled the Nav DVD unit for repair. Issue: No stereo sound from front drivers door speaker or tweeter. Pulled door panel and tested known good speaker and nothing - no power to speaker. See if you think I'm on the right track here..... I understand that the nav voice sound goes to front drivers speaker only. I'm thinking that a dead nav is causing a dead front drivers speaker...... Chip L Charlotte, NC

  7. '90 LS400 Removing Air suspension / Installing coilovers Rear strut install was fairly easy. Front install proving more difficult I cannot remove the nuts from either the upper or lower front stabilizer bar links. The nuts were difficult to budge but now they just turn with the nut (which I cannot access) and will not remove. Thoughts / tricks appreciates Chip L
  8. Need to replace air suspension in '90 LS400. Would appreciate pros / cons of suppliers Strutmasters and Arnott. Price about the same for both. Ride? Installation? Instructions? Quality? Support? Thx Chip L
  9. I need an air compressor for a '90-92 LS400. I have replaced both rear air struts and now the compressor is shot. If you've converted from air suspension to conventional strut, let me know if you are interested in selling me your air compressor. It is located in the trunk against the rear panel, passenger side. Thanks Chip L chiplong@hotmail.com
  10. Exact same issue recently with 90 LS. Car suddenly dropped about 9 months ago. Toyota replaced passenger rear air strut w/ factory. OK for a few months. Car started to drop after sitting. I figured out how to reset the computer and get the car to raise up. The computer is above 6 disk changer on the passenger side of the trunk. Pull out the largest wiring harness and reinsert. Resets the computer and the car should raise. Recently the driver rear strut became shot. I could hear it hissing. I used a hose to find the leak - under the strut mud boot - strut shot. I repaced the strut with an arnot rebuilt. Now the car won't raise. The shop tells me that the compressor is only pushing 20 lbs when it should push 140 lbs. Lexus wants $1500 for a compressor. Aftermarket compressors have recently become unavailable due to quality issues (I bought 2 this week just to have the vendor email and refund). My next move is to find a used compressor. I have an offer of $275. If I know then what I know now, I would have put in conversion struts. Chip L
  11. Snake, can you tell me specifically where the air suspension computer is located in the trunk. I'm having similar issues w/ my '90 LS400. Chip L
  12. 1990 LS400 - 250k mi - Air Suspension Looking for specific location of air suspension compressor and A/S computer/controller. Suspension operates OK for days or weeks, then the rear totally drops. Both rear sides drop in tandem - one is not lower than the other. When the rear drops, the height indicator on the dash remains constant (if I'm in Hi mode, will read HI despite switching to NORMAL). I don't believe the entire suspension is totally shot. 1) The front never drops. 2) The rear will function OK for weeks. 3) One side is not never lower than the other. When the rear does drop after parking, I can hear a hissing from the driver rear well. I'm thinking the problem may be a computer/controller issue or an air line / air release/bleeder valve issue. I'm open to ideas. Thx Chip L
