  1. Get a second opinion on your car's issue. Take it to Lexus of Roseville. Lexus of Sac tends to over-exaggerate small issues and will always try to hit you with a large repair bill.
  2. the R/F CD Changer works off an unused FM channel on your radio, ie 88.3. My Lex did not come with an in-dash CD Changer, so i used a Sony R/F 10CD changer for a while. The quality of the sound is equivalent to FM stereo.

  4. I am a Network Engineer for a Government Agency in CA. I do PC support, Web Page Design, and Networking design. I have created web sites for Government agencies as well as Universities. I'm the guy my freinds go to when they have PC problems! :P
  5. i realized the parking brake was still on when i happened to glance at my instrument panel and having the RED brake light staring at me...i did pull it up all the way after my realization, but i did drive about 20' with the parking brake firmly in it's engaged state
  6. Hello ES300 Forum. Yesterday i was parked on a steep incline, so i engaged my parking brake. When leaving the steep incline, i forgot to release the parking brake, and drove for about 20' before i realized the brake was still on. Does anyone know what kind of damage i might have caused? A freind of mine had previously made the same mistake with his ES, and he had to get a synoid(sp?) replaced. In his case, his car would refuse to accelerate, with only the RPMs increasing/decreasing. My car does not exhibit any problems at the moment.
  7. was this for your 120K service? My local Lexus dealer qouted $1200 just for the timing belt replacement. i'm up to 117k miles.
  8. I own a 97 ES300 that had squealing brakes. I took it in for service and the mechanic told me that the shims were the cause of the squeal. Since my brake pads were >40% worn, i had the pads and the shims replaced. Now my car is as quiet as when i bought it. Verify that the shims are the cause of the squeal, then get them replaced.
