  1. The used senser costs $25.00. It is from a 99 camry front bank. My impression is that the rear bank B1S1 fails much much more often than the front one. Just a gamble. If it fails again, I will put a new one in. Easy job once you did it.
  2. Sucess! I wedged in a screw driver from the top to push the tab inward and left it there. Then I went under and unpluged it. Bought a curved 7/8" wrench to loose the senser. Replaced with a junkyard senser. Disconnected the battery. When I stated the car, the lights are gone. and thanks a lot for the info.
  3. " You may need to try to wedge something small in the locking tab on the plug so you are able to pull with 1 hand while someone holds from the top with 1 hand (neither of you can get 2 hands in there) I also suggest getting the sensor online where you can buy it for around $150. That's for original eq. Denso, the only thing I would recommend. I just noticed you have an ES rather than RX. Don't know how much different that will be, have to jack it up and see. That code is only the heater, so it's not urgent, won't hurt anything, may only run faintly rougher when cold." W here should the wedge go into the locking tab? Outside the tab I suppose? It is driving me nuts to disconnect the harness plug. Thanks.
  4. "I've also found that I cannot hear the noise if I significantly rotate the stereo volume knob in a clockwise direction". My car does the same. It is 2002 RX300 with 128k. Noise is gone at sligtly higher RPM. "I can almost guarantee that the vibration is motor mounts or exhaust" I don't think it is the exhaust. My car has the problem for 5 years already. The exhaust would have been fallen apart.
  5. 2002 RX300 with 114k. The power antenna only goes up less than a inch ecah time I stated the engine. Bought a new antenna, then realized that the antenna goes up all the way when the key is at the on position without starting the engine. As soon as I start the engine, it stops going up. Wired problem. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks. Kevin
  6. Thanks for the suggestions, but no exhaust leak could be found. I think the noise is due to car vibrating in resonance to the engine at low idle rpm (just below 750 rpm). I can feel the car vibrates just a tiny little bit when parked. At slightly higher rpm, the sound is gone. Went to dealer before, they pretended that they could not hear the noise. I have to play radio loudly to cover the noise.
  7. 2002 RX300 AWD with 110k. There is a deafning noise, sounds like subwoofer is working, at idle on all shifts. When I turn the steering wheel, the idle rpm goes up just a little and the noise is gone. Is there a way to adjust the idle rpm a little higher? The ivac/throttle has been cleaned, but no noise reduction is noticed. Thnaks very much.
