  1. hey y'all... just got some new tires for my LX... if any of you are looking to go a bit larger than the stock tires, i put on a set of Michelin LTX MS 285/75-R16's and they fit like a charm. no rubbing, even with the suspension lowered. the ride is quiet and smooth, though the speedo is off by about 5 mph at highway speeds. i had the tires balanced using the hunter gsp machine and there is no vibration whatsoever... if you're looking for a little larger footprint, i highly recommend the Michelin LTX MS 285/75-R16's. i'll try and attach some pictures to this post if anyone care to see how they look. scott
  2. hey y'all... my 99 lx470 is due for a new set of tires, and instead of replacing them with the standard P275/70R-16's, i thought i might go for something larger. -what would be the main reasons for going to a larger tire (traction, appearance, clearance)? -are there any reasons (safety, ride, etc) for sticking with the facotry size? -what are some good options in a larger size? thanks, scott
  3. good day... i just took delivery of a 1998 LX470 and am very impressed. however, on the drive home from the dealership i noticed some very distinct wind noise coming in from the passanger side... all the windows were completely raised and the doors shut tightly... is there a seal which commonly needs cleaning or replacement in these cars? thanks for all the help, scott
