  1. Steve, Thank you for the reply and insight. Turns out the whole issue was related to an oil leak. The valve cover was leaking oil on to the wiring harness for the generator. The oil eventually "burned" thru the wiring harness and shorted everything out. I appreciate your time. Rich
  2. Hello all, 4 days ago while my 93, LS 400 was running fine, I stopped and lost all electrical power. No Power windows, wipers, A/C, radio, seats, lights, etc. All fuses under the dash are good and I started tracing down fusible links under the hood. One was blown. I put in a new one and it immediately blew before the car was even started. This is located under the fuse cover near the battery, and is labeled AMI 40. Any idea on what this is for or where to start looking? Thank you Rich
  3. I'm interested in the Drivers side headlight if still available rsafr@yahoo.com Zip is 30144 Thanks
  4. I own a 93 LS 400 and have found some seats in great condition from a 95 E300. Anyone know if these are interchangeable? Thank you
  5. My wish list is for the drivers side headlight. Don't need the whole assy or the fog light if you prefer. Also, the driver door outside handle. Depending on the condition, I'd also be interested in the passenger seat if in Tan ?!?!?! Thank you.........Rich rsafr@yahoo.com
  6. Sounds like you might have a gas lock in the heater system, its the highest point in the cooling circuit and when you are idling the pump pressure is at its lowest. How is the fluid level in the coolant reservior? Fluid level is at the top / full level. I've been monitoring it. The only thought I have is that there is a "bubble" somewhere in the system. Typically, does the system need to be purged?
  7. I have an intermittent problem with my 93 LS400. The heat works great but occassionaly when I stop at a light or in traffic, cold air blows out the heater. Temp is at Max and it will go away after driving again after a few minutes. Anyone else run into this? Ideas?? Thanks
  8. Hello All, I've recently bought a 93 LS400 and want to add an XM radio. I also purchased a hard wire kit since the cigarette lighters don't work. I'm using the Fog Light fuse (15 AMP) for the hot wire and have yet to get power to the unit. I have tried various points for the ground but still don't have power. I'm assuming I don't have a good ground. Any suggestions for a contact point around the fuse box?? Thank you very much
