I have an 06 GS300 and I have a Verizon RAZR V3c. The phone came with software version .03 and my incoming calls used to ring through the car's sound system. I recently took my phone into Verizon to upgrade the software to version .04 (after flashing down to .02 on my own to get OBEX back). Anyway, nowadays when I get an incoming call... the phone rings, rather than the car's sound system ringing. It's a little annoying. i liked it better when the ring came through the car speakers. anybody have a similar experience? any way around this?

confirmed... after I read your post... I realized my girlfriend has the SPRINT Samsung T608 and neither one of us realized it had bluetooth all along lol. I manually input my contacts into her phone and boom... transfered from her Sprint phone to my car in one shot. I'm a VZW customer so I had to do this. thanks for the info on the phone.

I have a new 06 GS300 and I would love to do this mod on my car. I'm in New York City (Queens). Anyone remotely close-by who will be willing to do this for me for a fee? I have no idea how to solder, and ground, etc. etc., so I'd rather just pay someone else. let me know: digg1er at hot mail dot com. cheers. Are there any known side effects of performing this mod? any at all? will the navigation satellite signal be less responsive or slower at all? I know the warranty is voided, but I don't care about that. (They would never find out about it if done right)

FWIW, I am a VZW customer, but I recently used my girlfriend's SPRINT Samsung T608 phone and was able to transfer my entire phone book in one shot. Something that most other phones cannot accomplish. I can't comment on the call quality, but not many phones out there can transfer your whole phone book in one shot to the Lex system.

I'm a VZW customer so I can't transfer my phonebook with my RAZR V3c, but I just borrowed my girlfriend's SPRINT Samsung T608 and was able to transfer all my contacts in one shot to my 06 Lexus GS300. The only annoying thing was having to type my contacts into my gf's phone and then deleting them afterwards, but who cares... now I have my contacts in my car! Woo hoo!!!

After much frustration, I purchased a Sprint Sony Ericksson T 608 on Ebay. This is a phone that Sprint no longer supports, I'm told. It allows transfer of an entire phone book as "business cards" to my RX 400. Unlike newer phones, its bluetooth is entirely unlocked. I have not activated the phone - no need. I just use it to transfer numbers. Doesn't matter who your provider is! Also, most older GSM bluetooth phones allow full transfer. Perhaps you have a friend with a phone that will transfer. Beats one number at a time. So how do I get my phone book into the Sprint Sony Ericksson T608 in the first place? Do I have to manually type my contacts in one-by-one? that would be annoying. how much should this phone cost on ebay? are there any cheaper compatible phones out there? cingular maybe?

zube, where in Jersey are you located exactly? I'm in NYC, how far are you from here? Would you be able to disable the bluetooth dialing safety feature on my new 2006 GS300? I sort of agree with Jesse... I just picked up my 06 GS300 AWD last week and I was expecting much more from the ML stereo. I feel like when I test drove the car the sound was much better. I feel it lacks bass... I set the bass all the way to the max and only then do I feel the bass. I also noticed that when I turn the "surround" off it sounds better. Does this make sense? I would assume "surround" makes for a better sound?
