  1. I have a 93 with the same problem. Fuses are perf. Keep us updated!
  2. Have the car running when you check the coolant, if your positive theres no leak anywhere and that its completely full then it should be the sensor.

  4. Are you sure its safe to spray a cluster of fuses with liquid lubricant?
  5. I cant seem to get the alternator fuse out of the fuse box, ive removed the bolt holding it down but it still wouldnt budge. I dont see any clips that are holding it in, and ive tried removing the metal plate on the side with no luck. Any suggestions?
  6. How would i take out the bolted fuses? I tied taking a phillips head to em but they wont budge.
  7. So i just got the new PS pump and alternator put in my 93 sc400, and everything is hooked up. We were going to flush the PS but then we realized that there was no power going through the car. The lights didnt work, the auto adjusting wheel didnt budge, and the car wouldnt crank at all. So we put it in neutral and pulled it out and tried jumpstarting it. Nothing, no cranking at all. Well it could have been many things wrong with it but we checked the fuse box. The ABS fuse is broken, and the metal in the alternator fuse wasnt connecting. Im not sure if it was supposed to be like that, or if it was just an incredibly clean break, but i popped off the clear clip and used pliers to try to connect them, i guess theyre supposed to be like that since they wouldnt stay in place. Well unsure what it is, i put the transmission override cap back on the button, and i noticed that this time the door light came on along with the door open signal on the dash. Well, its got some juice it seems, but for some reason it still wouldnt crank or turn on the headlamps. Im not sure if theres some stupid electrical lock on the car or somethign got disconnected or what. Im thinking of replacing those 2 fuses first, and then try and figure out whats wrong with it. If anyone has gone through the same thing or can help me out with this, it would be much appreciated.
  8. We took a tire iron, put it through the pully and jammed it in as far as it would go, took a breaker bar, kept turning until the tire iron found some support and we just used force to get the nut off. at that point we just yanked the pulley off.
  9. i can get to the bolts, its just that theres no room to fit or turn a wrench, especially when theyre such stubborn bolts.
  10. K so, me and a friend are replacing the power steering pump and alternator on a 93 sc400 ourselves. We've managed to get everything off alright but were at the 4 bolts holding the pump in place. I can actually feel one of the bolts but wires are in the way of any ratchet, and the other 3 are way in there. Im not really sure how to get to those bolts, unless i should take off the bottom engine cover and go at it from the bottom, so if someone can help me out with that it would be much appreciated!
