  1. Did you find out why it discharged in the first place? You almost certainly have a leak in the system. I know it's not what you want to hear, but you'll need to take it to a reputable shop to have it checked out- otherwise you'll be adding 134a every few days!
  2. Opinion: Cool as hell. My 03 Black Onyx all leather SportX is the best car I have ever owned. The official Brochure: http://www.lexus.ca/lexus/ebrochures/en/ED192P2004.pdf And Edmunds: http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpcontainers/...87/article.html Enjoy. And, Google is a wonderous tool, Try it out sometime! :)
  3. After just doing a bunch of exhaustive research myself on this same subject- i finally settled on the BFG SuperSport A/S and couldn't be happier. Smooth, super quiet ride- and responsive as hell with spirited driving. I live in Florida, and the rainstorms here can be intense in the summertime. These tires cut through rainy and slick roads like no other tire I have ever owned..I tried a few days ago to get the tires to break loose a bit turning in really hard during a rain, and couldn't get the damn things to break loose! Just over 700 for the staggered set (225 rear, 215 front) The tread design is VERY good looking on the car and even my wife complimented the look. The treadwear rating on the tire is 400, but it grips like it's a lot lower. VERY satisfied after 2500 miles- still quiet and smooth. Make sure you get an alignment RIGHT AFTER you get your new shoes. I chose Lexus dealer because they know EXACTLY what the car requires and solved my front-inside-balding-first problem common with this car. The tires and ride is so smooth it's seriously like hovering. Official Site: http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/overview/g-...t-a-s/3906.html and the tire rack rating- http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...per+Sport+A%2FS This rating was slightly lower than i personally would rate them, of course the 6.0 for snow traction skewed the average. Not a concern for me though since it only snows in Florida in disaster movies! :D
  4. Nice reply, smooth. You're the reason why these forums are so effective! :D
  5. I had the same problem.. You can find a spare fuse, along with a puller for the fuse, in the engine compartment in the main fuse box cover...unless someone's already taken the spare out. If memory serves, it's a 15- correct?
  6. I live in Orlando! Where is this meetup you speak of? Sc400, Owner tested, Jack Russell Approved!
  7. Is the air mix servomotor the vacuum controlled servo right behind the ABS system? Where do you recommend i start troubleshooting? Also, pics would be helpful, as I have no real service manual.. Thanks!!
  8. Like the guys said, very common once the system is sealed back up to overlook the backflush. Suprised they missed that though- I'd think about switching mechanics if this turns out to be the issue..
  9. Good morning, everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew some troubleshooting steps for this error code- I did some searching and found info on the vacuum servo on the firewall behind the ABS system- but I'm not sure that this is where I need to begin looking.. Anyone have any more specific info on this error? Where do I begin?
  10. My wife went through the autowash with the radio on. Needless to say, the antenna is completely lost, including the retractor inside.....all gone. Any good suggestions for replacement?
  11. Cool, thanks man! Looks like the pressure is right then!
  12. Where can one get just the bushings replaced?
  13. Anyone know the correct recharge pressure when adding 134a? Right now, I have 35 psi on the guage (middle blue range), but I seem to recall another thread where they mentioned 40 psi.. Thanks everyone!
  14. Anyone? Code 21, 41, 43? Ive searched and searched...no luck,,,
  15. I actually got a code 21, 41, and 43. What the heck does a code 41 and 43 mean?
  16. How much did the control arm bushings set you back?
  17. Thanks for the info man! 'Preciate it... I'll do the serch now. I tried before but I didn't really know what to call that little panel.. Thanks again for the info on the fuse. I'm also lacking the owner's manual, do you happen to know the fuse in question?
  18. Good evening, all! Just a quick question or two tonight- I never tried to use the driver position preset cpntrol on the door- is there a fuse or something that controls this 1/2 panel on the driver's side door? Also, I turned on the remote lock/unlock switch under the steering wheel, and replaced the battery in the key, but the remote does not work. Any tips on troubleshooting that? It's basically a one owner (well two now, ME ;) ) car, well taken care of... these little things are more of an annoyance than anything else, but still would like for them to work. Thanks in advance for the replies, all. Have a great night!
  19. Excellent, thanks! I hope to find one elsewhere- i hate getting raped by stealerships!
  20. Good evening, all! I recently purchased a 92 sc400- love the car! One question tho. Florida, as many of you may know, is VERY hot and humid and is MURDER on batteries. The battery tray is basically gone, and I'm holding the battery in place with bungee cords. Is there a place you can buy a battery tray for these cars, or is a junkyard search in my future? Thanks in advance for you guys' help!
