  1. my first oil change and Lexus dealer service was free at 5000K. After that it is $56 for oil change at Lexus of Monterey Peninsula.
  2. My IS350 has 4000 miles. The tires are getting louder and making more road noise. Anyone else notice this happening?
  3. Consider having the stock wheels chromed. I got these as an option from the dealer and they are beautiful. As my daughter said, the IS needs a little bling. Chrome wheels do the trick. Also the front wheels collect brake dust very quickly. The stock wheel's pattern is easy to clean. G-Spider looks like it will be hard to clean.
  4. Although I loved the bimmer's looks and performance, cost of maintenance and repairs drove me away. Now love my IS350. Interior luxury and performance feel much the same as the 540 but the IS is much quicker and nimble. Actually went to the Lexus dealer to test drive a GS but could not get past the looks. IS much better looking. Reviewers prefer the BMW 3 series to the IS, but I would NEVER ever buy a BMW again. After a week of ownership, no buyer remorse. Just very very happy with my new car!
  5. Just a cold air intake or CAI. Makes engine sound louder thus giving "seat of the pants" horsepower. It sounds faster but very little actual gain in HP. Some of the filters on these CAI's are oil coated. The oil droplets can deposit on the air flow meter and cause a check engine light. If you really want to modify this already super engine, save your money and wait for Supertuners to come up with an ECU reprogrammer. Cheers, Al
  6. Just ordered an IS 350 with luxury package in white. The 18inch wheels that come in the luxury package have a dull silver finish. White with shiny wheels looks very elegant. These wheels are too dull. I want a shinier finish. Are the G-spider optional wheels the same finish as the luxury 18 Inch wheels? If they are, my dealer offers a chromed version of the luxury wheels and I'll get those. Thanks in advance, Al
