  1. Well....After driving both the RX400h and the GS450h she decided that the RX is right for her. She is only 5'2" and the GS was too big for her and she didnt feel young in it. I agree because I feel much younger in the IS then the GS. It feels like a car someone in his/her 40's and up will drive and she is only 25. I think she looks much cuter in the RX Hybrid and I hope it is a good car as well. Anyone driving the RX Hybrid or knows if it is a good car?
  2. I heard that the GS450h is the fastest Lexus in the U.S. even faster then the IS350. Thats a bummer. My girl is getting a 450h and she will kick my IS's !Removed!, lol.
  3. Please use the Buy and Sell Forums for advertising. Thanks. --bartkat http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showforum=17
  4. I know, they should have it connected to the plastic not the metal and if you lose the metal key just charge you $30 or something. Second of all...... If it is a bad design it is not your fault and they should cover it under warranty.
  5. Good news (for me) Because it was only the remote and I still have the key it will be covered under warranty. We have two parts in the remote, the key and the remote itself. I lost the plastic only. My girl was walking the dog and it just fell of the key, lol. I wanted to share it because if it would happen to you, just go and replace it under warranty.
  6. Does anyone know how much is a remote for the lexus IS350?
  7. 16-18 mpg city 21-24 hwy I guess some people here don't hit the streets, lol.
  8. start the car with the parking brake on ....then tap your foot on the brake twice....(keep the foot down on the brake)....then tap the parking brake twice (keep it down )....repeat process if necessery and then you'll see that the skid light on dash comes on. This will cancel VDIM and Trac control completely until you turn the car off and then turn it back on. Dont worry, I tried it, it works, it's awsome!
  9. Lets see: IS350 0-60 5.3 IS500 0-60 5.0 IS350 4 Doors Saden (Wife not complaing of letting people in, and good for baby) IS500 2 Doors IS350 V6 Avarage 22 mpg IS350 V8 Avarage 18 mpg (Assuming) IS350 Fully loaded 42k IS500 Fully loaded over 59k (Assuming reg' model will be 55k) I think I will stick with IS350 for now. If I am going to decide spending in the 60k area I will personally go with the new M3 that is for a fact the best sport sedan in the universe.
  10. It is wierd. The GS has it too! a car that cost 60k-70k has a ticking sound! I already gave up on mine (350 IS) with the noise thing. I left the car at the dealers for 2 days and told him to call the factory, and I even spoke to the Lexus main tech in the U.S. and they cant do anything. We are NOT the only ones that complain. They have houndreds every day. we have to deal with it. Is it 100% luxury? no! Is it 100% sport? no! Do we love it? Yes But I would save a bit more and go with sport/luxury car that has more HP, better handling and no engine noise such as a BMW M3.
  11. I have the seats and I say go with ML. I want to change to sport package with Navi. I don't care much for premium with the seats anymore. You know how it is with stereos (at least for me), never enough.
  12. The only problem is that the exhaust is loud. I dont want that.
  13. Do you guys know who makes the chips for the cars? Anyone I would be able to contact? Who made one for the IS300? I won't put the pipe because I called LMS and they said it is really loud with the new pipe. I would like it quiet but more buttom end since this car has the biggest lag ever.
  14. So I guess you guys won't recommend the LMS intake and I should wait for the chip or a "cold air" intake. Am I right? Upgrading of the torque converter will be too expensive so I will wait for a chip that will remap the ECU. But still.... if someone has a LMS intake I would love to hear your thoughts about it. Thank you.
  15. Finaly someone that agrees with me. I really feel like I need low end torque. This lag drive me crazy and I am waiting for the part that will come out and take care of it. If you hear about something please let me know. Thank you.
  16. Does anyone have the new LMS intake? If you do, did you check the HP before and after? Is it loud only when you in high RPM or all the time? When are they going to come out with a chip? Please post any information about engine mods. (your own experience not what they say)
  17. But, I agree with your point about turning your playlists into CD's. About 18 songs/CD X 6 CD's will get you down the road. I thing the frustrating thing is, we all hope that Ipod integration would have been seamless by now. Actually it is 150 songs X 6 CD's (you can play mp3's in your cd changer). Why is there the engine noise when I connect the power to the IPOD? When I connect it without charging it is fine but as soon as you connect the charger there is a horrible engine noise. why?
  18. The best car for us luxury-sport sedan people is the........ M5 But it's out of our budget, lol. Nothing is better then a brand new, over 400 hp, less then 5 seconds 0-60, well equipped, best handling, MT, family luxury sedan. The M5 got it all. Well...... I'll try to save the money. lol.
  19. This video shows the IS350 in and out and also answer the question if they all have the ticking sound. Notice when they lift the hood of the car you can hear the tick. (they are all the same, nothing is wrong with your IS, lol). Enjoy. http://www.cars.com/go/video/motorweek/vid...=7839&year=2006
  20. Just go for an 02-03 BMW M3, I made a mistake for not doing it. Dont get me wrong, IS350 is a great great car but I personally don't feel the power from a dead stop, only on the freeway, and before anyone respond they should drive the M3 or S4 or STI to understand the meaning of feeling the power. The car is strong but you can't really feel it and I know you would want to feel it. By the way... Comparing to the other cars I listed this car is horrible at turns. I did not write this to argue with anyone, it is just my opinion. P.S. I had a 350z, Still have a 330 and used to have Cobra and 99 M3 so I know what it means to get glued to the seat when you hit the gas paddle (99 M3 is not even close to the new M3). And if you don't want a used M3 just go for a MT BMW 330, you'll enjoy the drive better, it just a little too simple of interior but you can get over that. http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpcontainers/...21/pageNumber=1
  21. Read the manual and you wont be scared, there is a way to get around it.
