  1. Gary I’ve been in the HVAC field for over 23 years and you are correct about pulling a good vacuum. The A/C in you Legend may run for many years while the next guy’s compressor would lockup within the year. If you keep everything clean, dry and don’t have the system broke open to the atmosphere to long, you may just get lucky. Dave
  2. Here is the link to the hitch My Webpage How much did you paid for it? I believe I paid about $275.00; which include all needed wiring. I installed it myself with only my 13-year-old daughter holding the one end until I was able to get the bolts started. My RX 04 was pre-wired for the factory wiring harness. It took longer to remove the panels from the back to where you needed to plug in the harness, then it did to install the hitch itself.

  6. Lewjeff I have a 04 RX330 with 42000 miles that had the transmission hesitates; but have not said or asked my dealer to make any repairs to it. I had been happy reading this board for the last year waiting and hoping for a good and final repair. But, what I have noticed is every time I had the car in for service the transmission shifted differently when I would bring it home. Over the last year I feel the transmission has been flashed at least twice, and the two things I have noticed is. One the gas mileage has dropped about 2 or more miles per gallon on the road, and the transmission will down shift while going down a hill. I’m not real fond of either; but on the other hand I don’t feel I need to worry about getting hit when I pull out. Cheerdad
  7. Hi all I have the factory installed Hitch; actually I bought the hitch and installed it myself. With a little help holding the one end I installed it in about one hour. When I have time I will take a picture and post it for you guys. I think I paid about $250.00 for it from my dealer, and it does look very nice. My RX330 had all the pre-wiring needed and I only had to bolt the hitch on and plug in the wiring harness. If you have any more questions, please ask. Cheerdad I just got my Lexus RX330 in Dec. 2005, and I have also been looking for a tubular hitch that goes behind the muffler and not under it. I have been searching the web and found only one potential hitch by Hidden Hitch, but it looks so hefty. Did you ever find any advice on locating a light Class II hitch for your RX330? I also just want it for bikes. kalinsandiego: My post on this forum is almost a year old... I looked at all the resources mentioned in the replies to that post last year, and ended up simply getting the Lexus trailer hitch. It's curved tubing, and has a much nicer appearance than the after-market alternatives mentioned. I actually had the after market hitch installed, and disliked the appearance enough to replace it with the Lexus supplied hitch. I think part of the problem is that these cars are nice-looking enough that new owners don't want to see them altered. Depending upon where you are in San Diego County, you can save money vs. having the dealer install the hitch by purchasing it from the dealer (no one else distributes them), and having it installed at a shop specializing in trailer hitches. There is one in Escondido in the Auto Park area north of West Valley Parkway.
