  1. Shipping included in the price of the wheels. Or make an offer. Shipping only good in the US 48 states, international shipping will be extra.
  2. I have a set of 4 like new LS430 wheels pulled off of a 2003 car. Excellent overall condition. Very little wear, no curb rash. I have them in boxes ready to ship. $400 takes em all, FedEx shipped to your door.
  3. I am looking for a set of wheels to mount my winter tires on for this comming winter. I bought my car from a dealer in Arizona, so the original chrome wheels are perfect. I dont want to put them through the salt and grime. I was able to locate a set of take-offs from my Lexus dealer from an 01 LS430 with the 17" wheel option. Will these fit on my 95 LS? Any recommendations on snow tires for these cars? I dont have TRAC but I hear they get along pretty well with a good set of snows. Thanks all.
  4. I took it to the dealer and they said they can't feel anything. I think they just don't know what it is.
  5. The reason I think it is driveshaft related is because the vibration only happens under heavy load or hard acceleration. If you are accelerating hard and then quickly leave off of the pedal it immediately goes away. If it were a tire out of balance or wheel out of round it would still be there. Plus I have had the tires balanced and rotated and there is no change.
  6. Mine isnt a hesitation or stumbling, it feels like its comming from the rear end. Are their any bushings or mounts for the rear end or drive shaft that could need replacing? I am guessing its just a mount getting soft and changing the drive line angle just enough to get some vibration under load.
  7. I noticed this when I bought the car, but it has gotten a little worse. There is a vibration when accelerating between 35-40MPH. I have tried to replace the basics but nothing has changed it, I replaced the transmission mount, differential fluid, transmission fluid and brakes. No change. It is most apparent when there are 4 people in the car and you accelerate up a hill. Or if you drive more aggressively. All the shifts are smooth and it only does it at that speed range. I am stumped on this one. I mentioned it to my Lexus dealer and they said they didnt feel anything. So I guess I am on my own on this one. Any ideas?
  8. Yes, it changes with engine speed. You can hear it outside the car, but its not loud enough to hear inside the car.
  9. When I had purchased my LS400 from the Lexus dealer, they had prepped the engine using this wonderful tire dressing. The dressing has attracted a lot of dirt and grit over the months. So being a clean freak I decided to clean up the engine a little. I got my Griots Garage cleaner out and cleaned off all of the dirt and grime. I also took the time to rinse out the radiator fins, I couldnt believe how much dirt and dead bugs were stuck in there. The ground under the car was just black after rinsing it all off. Now I have this whining sound. It started the day after I washed everything down. Its not the PS, the fluid is full, no leaks and the sound doesnt change when turning the streering wheel. It sounds like its comming from the alternator. I had the charging system checked at AutoZone, they said all is well, alternator is doing its job. But the noise is driving me nuts. Its louder in the morning when I first start the car and its cold out, still there as it warms up but not as bad. Should I replace the alternator now before it goes or what would you guys recommend? I was just going to order a reman DENSO from Park Place if I did need one. I dont trust AutoZone parts on my cars.
  10. Let me know how it runs anyway. I would be interested to see how much of a differance there is after a full tuneup.
  11. Now that you have your new sensors installed, any differance in performance or mileage?
  12. Mine was like that too, I just took it to my mechanic and let them deal with it. They got it off no problem and replaced the filter. No leaks or problems.
  13. Well I just got the car back from my indie, everything is fine he said. They looked over the whole brake system, said everything is in tip top shape. New fluids, pads, and rotors. Pressure is good and no leaks. So I am lost as to what it can be. Makes me feel good though that everything is A-OK! (For now anyway) I will keep you all updated if I do find something. These boards are a real resource for trying to get help. I really enjoy and value a lot of the feedback and opinions I get on here. Even though I am not a mechanic by any stretch of the word, I have the knowledge and confidence to do some of my own simple maintenance and repairs to save myself some money (and who does it better than yourself right?) and for this I am grateful to you all. Thank you.
  14. This is a very good description of the problem. Mine does the exact same thing. I too took it to the mechanic who said they couldnt find anything wrong. I am afraid to wait till it gets worse in fear of the brakes failing, but I dont have much choice. I will keep an eye on the problem and see if it gets worse.
  15. I havent tried that yet. There is no fluid leaking out. I park the car in the garage and the floor is always dry. The ABS light hasnt come on and the brakes appear to be working ok. When I tried listening for the sound, it is a loud clicking sound from outside the car but I cant figure out where it is comming from. I will have to check with my mechanic and have him look at it.
  16. They were just replaced about 500 miles ago by my Lexus dealer. It was making this noise before they were replaced, it didnt get any better or worse. The dealer had recommended the lower ball joints be replaced because they had a lot of play in them, so I had them do it.
  17. Well I have a new issue, just when I thought everything was working perfectly. When I press the brake pedal, I can hear a popping sound. The brakes work fine, no grabbing, pulling or pulsating. The popping doesnt doesnt have any effect on the brakes themselves. The sound only happens when I am stepping on the brake, sometimes it will do it just sitting with the car in park and pressing the brake, sometimes it wont. I checked the fluid level, all is good. The brake pads and rotors were just changed about 4k ago. The fluid was just flushed with the 90k service as well. The sound doesnt occur when hitting bumps or turning or anything else. I just had new ball joints put on as well. Any ideas?
  18. When I took mine in for the service, the service manager told me they never replace those seals. Only if they are leaking. I was a little bothered by this, so he gave me a warranty on the items, he said if it starts leaking, they will replace the seals for free within the next year.
  19. Any luck getting rid of the lurch and vibration between 35-40?
  20. The TSB listed on this thread: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...topic=28058&hl=
  21. I have the same problem, I contacted the dealer and they are going to replace both front belts for free. I do have to pay for the labor though, about 1 hour per side. I think that is fair.
  22. My car has 80k on it. You have about 47,000 more than I do. I dont know if there a time limit on the TSB or not, my dealer is very accomidating.
