  1. I responded to your earlier post. Britax Wizard will not fit in the 3rd row. We have 2 Britax Wizard's in the second row using the anchor points. Used a Cosco seat in third row but removed the arm that swings down. If you use the anchor points in the 2nd row, you can't possibly fit 3 car seats because there are only 4 anchor points. You'd have to use the seatbelts, which aren't as secure.
  2. The Britax Wizard will NOT fit in the 3rd row seat. Had to use a Cosco seat that we bought from WalMart with the swing down arm removed. Getting the child in from the rear door (having 1/2 of the split seat up) is not too hard as long as you're wearing pants. My wife had difficulty in a dress and skirt...although I'm sure the passers by loved the view.
  3. Just a socket wrench with a 4-6" extension. I think it was 13 or 14 mm. I think the front skid plate had 4 x 12mm bolts plus the plastic plug in the middle.
  4. I just rotated the tires and checked the pads at 15,000 miles. Hardly any wear. Rotors are fine. This is my wife's GX and she brakes gently. If it was my GX I'd probably be close to changing front pads soon.
  5. I like that little plate that they welded on with the lip...makes the oil drain neatly into the pan without spilling all over the block. Unlike my Explorer and other cars that I've owned.
  6. My GX is the first genteration '03. Measurement wise, it should be the same as your '06. Mine is '04...s/b same as your '06. My Explorer should be same size as yours too.
  7. Mine also had a plastic plug in front of the skid plate between the 2 front bolts. I also had to jack up the front a few inches to remove the skid plate because of the shape of the hooks. Took me over an hour to find the oil filter initially!
  8. I have both a 2000 Explorer XLT and my wife's Lexus GX470 parked in the garage. She has the left side, which is easier to park. We have big garages in Mililani!
