  1. Went to start my '92 ES 300 after being in the garage for several days. All I get is a continous clicking sound. I jumped it and it started, but after turning it off needs jump again. Lights seem to come on fine and don't dim that much when I try to start it. I also unhooked negative terminal while running and it continues to run. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Don
  2. Thanks for the help. I haven't had time to check it out in more detail. I noticed it yesterday after backing out of the driveway and then moving forward. It seems like it is in one spot on the wheel revolution. I say rear right wheel, because I moved slowly and thought it was coming from the right rear. I plan on getting it up in the air this evening and looking into it. I'll be sure to look at the bushings. I'll report back.
  3. I have a clunking sound coming from the right rear of my '92 ES. It doesn't make the noise when I back up, only when going forward. Seems like it clunks in one spot of the revolution. Do the bearings go bad on the rear hubs? I am about to replace also about to replace my front left CV as it has started to click. I don't think this is related, but thought I would mention it. I'd apprecite any help.
  4. I need to replace the front left CV boot on my '92 ES. Has anyone use the CV kit with the split boot that you don''t have to pull off the CV? If so, how did it work out? Where can I get one on-line? Thanks Don
  5. The parking brake light on my 1992 ES 300 stays on when my parking brake is released. The strange thing about it, is it only stays on when it is very cold outside ( I live in Westchester, NY). Once it warms up over 40 degrees it goes out. My brakes seem to work normally even when the light is on. No calibers seem to hanging up, etc. I did back up into a deep snow bank (right rear wheel about half way up the wheel) and it seems it may have started after this. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Don
  6. No help? Somewhat of disappointing.
  7. Somehow my sunroof is closed on the right side, and open about an inch on the left side. Also it sems like it might be tilted down on the left side. When i push the tilt and slide buttons the motors are working, but the sunroof won't move. Seems like it's jammed. My daughter says she may have pushed botht he slide and tilt button at same time while closing it. We've owned the car since new. Has about 100,000 miles it and runs and looks great. I just want to close the sunroof. Please help.
  8. I need to replce the radiator on my 1992 ES 300. Is this as straight forward as it seems?
  9. Thanks for the replys. It seems when I am moving the wheel feels like it is out of round though. So far the only thing I found is the broken boot. Are the struts hard to do yourself? I"m thinking both fronts should be replaced. Also, does the axle have to be removed to install boot kit? Thanks for all help.
  10. My 1992 ES 300 has a shimmy in the front end. Upon inspection I noticed the boot on the front left axle (closet to the wheel) is ripped and it seems that grease has gone come out and gone all over. Would this be causing the shimmy? The shimmy isn't too bad, but needs to be fixed. I'm pretty handy and work on all my vehicles. Replacing the axle seems straight forward. Should I be looking for anything else? Thanks for the help.
