same here - just bought a used rx300 w. 50K miles and wont shift into 3rd gear when cold or if forced wants to downshift. problem is worse when cold weather but is present even in summer. lexus service says "they all do this" - translated...there is a problem. will change transmission oil next to see if it helps.
