When I am stopped, sometimes the car will raise and lower automatically without anyone touching the ride or height settings. Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

The dealer says the reason I have no sound is that my Mark Levinson Amplifier went out. I have found an identical replacement, but don't know where to install it. Is it under the passenger seat? Has anyone installed one themselves? I have heard that it isn't all that difficult. Thank you.
