So let me get this right...You think that Jiffy Lube pays about the same as Lexus pays or any other dealership for that matter??? Same benefits??? Same promotions??? You have got to be kidding??? Why such a high turnover at J-Lube, Walmart, Grease monkey, and not at the dealerships? I guess they just like saying they work for Lexus right! Come on! :whistles: :whistles: :whistles: :whistles: :whistles: :whistles:

:D Yea...I had a lady walk into my office talking about investing money into a retirement account. She drove up in a old beat up rusty car. My first thought was that she did not have a $1 to her name. After spending some time with her going over some different annuities she pulled out a statement from investment account and wanted it set up to receive monthly payments from a interest paying account. She had already lost 10,000 with that account. We set up a guaranteed SPIA for her... The balance on her statement was over $70,000. That was a good reminder never pre judge a sale! I have always tried not to pre judge anyone...but honestly it is hard not to sometimes. You feel like you are losing money spending time with some people...and you could be...

Sell the ford...take the money that you get dump it in to your lex. It is paid for. That is a good feeling!!! You could buy a newer car and have problems with that too! At least you know what needs to be done to your car now. When I was going to college I had a 94 Celica GT car ran great...and it was paid for...I drove the wheels off of it! Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with making payments on a car but if you fell like this... " i'll be quitting the working world soon and going back to college so low notes are in favor of course, alright guys go to work!!!!! " Why not have no Note...at least until you get out of school!!! But if you can swing a new ride I would not get the Trans Am... By the way !!! Thank you for your service and good luck with what ever you decide to do!!!

Has Anyone Used An "air Tornado" For Better Mpg
LEXIRX330 replied to LRP_LS400's topic in 90 - 00 Lexus LS400
It looks like it was made out of a beer can cut with a dull knife That thing is a direct ripoff of the "Tornado" I'd love to write that BS for a living....Harness the power of a tornado... tornado-tune your engine. I also love all of the conditions that he places on the auction... So if you're an idiot or the transaction goes bad because of something that you do and I leave negative feedback - then you'll leave negative feedback for me for no reason - sounds fair. I especially like this one: "It may take an extra week for me to drink enough beers to have the cans to make more of these things - order during football season when I have guaranteed stock." :D Funny Stuff :D -
Pay Down Limit For Credit Card?
LEXIRX330 replied to ccjw33's topic in 07 - 13 Lexus IS250 / IS350 / IS-F
That is how I got them to let me charge $7,500. I told them that I wanted to charge the whole purchase. When they said 5,000 was the most I could do I complained, I said that I was going to put at least 7,500 down on the card or I would just leave. They took the $7,500... The cash back bonus was nice! -

Dr. Gee and Statman, I have a 2006 GX470 with Nav & RSES. The hack works for me in park and while in motion. These are the steps I follow: 1. Hit the "Menu" button 2. Press "Volume" icon on the screen 3. Press top left of screen 4. Bottom left 5. Top left 6. Bottom left The service menu screen appears. 7. Press and hold "Override" until you hear a beep and the text changes from white to black 8. Press "Back" 9. Press the "Destination" button to enter desired destination. As mentioned earlier in the discussion, the override will remain in effect until you turn the car off. Good luck. Let me know if this works for you. Antonio. thanks! That was it. I was trying in the "sound" screen of the audio section. :D Glad that it finally worked for you!!!!

Had To Replace My Windshield Today.
LEXIRX330 replied to steviej's topic in 92 - 06 Lexus ES250/300/330
I also live in MA and needed a new windshield. Mine got scratched by get this.........a piece of ice on the wiper blade, it made a perfect arc. 30 years of driving in snow and ice and it had to happen on my 3 month old 2005 ES330. So I called around and after speaking with several glass companies they all refused to do business with my insurance company. I was going to call my Lexus dealer but I figured they out source it anyway. Safelite was the only company that would take my insurance. By the way the guy who installed it made sure I got the "Premium" windshield, not the cheaper one. This also said made by Pinkerton or Plinkerton. Looks 100% original. The day after it was installed we had rain and wind. Perfectly dry, no leaks. He put the mirror, rain senser and inspection sticker back on. I'm very happy with the out come. I also replaced the wipers. Not sure what insurance company that you have...but that is a bad sign if several glass companies would not do business with your insurance company...which company was it ??? You may have the same problem with your insurance company paying you if you have an accident??? -
I cant get it .I must be retarded.ive tried it everyway suggested. I have version 5.1 btw.does this matter? Dr.Gee- My boss has the same 2006 GX470 as you do. We went to a meeting this Thursday and while he was driving on the highway I did Method 1 on his and override the system. The above method will not work on yours, make sure that you are going into the sound menu and at the corners just press as described in the other post. I hope it works for you because if you look at the 1st post that I put in I was frustrated and ready to give up thinking that this worked on everyone's Lexus but mine. I finally got it to work and I hope you will be able to also. This is the most annoying problem...

I guess I did not buy my RX330 for decent-snowfall or off-road capabilities. When I was considering purchasing the RX, AWD was a definite for me. I think the RX 330 does exactly what it should do, and what it is designed to do. Have not had any problems with traction on wet roads or icy roads. In my opinion the tires would play a big role in how you get around in the snow too! I had a Ford Mustang 5.0 when I was 17, I remember that when I first bought it that winter when it snowed I could get that car stuck on the highway. I put a new set of tires on the back and it was like a completely different car, don't get me wrong the car still was not worth a sh*t in snow, ice, or even rain... I would put the RX330 in a class of it's own, not a minivan, or a station wagon, but a luxury SUV, my opinion. If you want a something that will get through the snow better go buy a snow plow! :D

If you can find out how to do it without taking the dash apart let me know! If you do a search there is a way that you take the Nav unit out and cut a wire to do this but I am not going to go that far. Good Luck

Well I didn't know I was driving a Minivan! :chairshot: I have a 1997 Jeep Cherokee 4x4, if I thought for 1 second that I was going to get the same 4x4 system out of a Lexus I guess I would be disappointed. I can not remember Lexus ever comparing the AWD RX to a Jeep or anything else in that class. If my Lexus drove like a Jeep I would have never bought it. If you do not think that the AWD works cut the wheel and make a sharp U turn, and do that with a FWD one and you will see the difference. You will be able to turn sharper with the FWD than the AWD. I like the way my RX330 handles and I think that the AWD feature is more of a Safety feature. If you want to take your Lexus and play in the mud have fun! :chairshot: I will come pull you out WITH MY JEEP. :D AWD vs the same with a FWD it looks like it is still worth about 2k more... Just saw this too. How would this be possible if there is no power to rear wheels????????? kenpomasta Today, 04:29 PM Post #1 New Club Member Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: Today, 04:05 PM Member No.: 23,860 Car Model:2003 RX 300 AWD Location:CT I just bought a 2003 RX 300 AWD with the lexus CPO program. Ive been very pleased with it for the last 2 weeks that Ive had it, however today it snowed. I was excited to see how it was going to handle expecting it to be better then my old FWD car. To my surprise this RX is not driveable in the snow Any time im trying to turn @ a stop sign Im having major problems. I try to accel a little just like I have drivin every other car. mostly FWDs some with snows some w/o. The rear of the RX is coming out from me. The car keeps getting almost sideways before the vsc turns on and trys to help me. This car has un nerved me. Ive always been a very confident driver in the snow, but this car has me wondering if I should go out or not. Anyone else have problems with this car in the snow.?

Help With My Gx Homelink And Craftsman Garage Door
LEXIRX330 replied to Love my GX470's topic in General Chat
I think that you only press the garage door opener button after it starts to flash...maybe not! Try pressing the remote button over and over. My mother in laws Caddy would not accept the code when holding the garage door button down. If it still does not work do a search alot of people have had same problem here is one it may help... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...274&hl=homelink Good luck! -
All you will get is new POI's and new street maps. I don't think it will be worth spending $300 on? I have talked to the dealership about a update and have been told it is probably not worth it... QUOTE(JBWilliams80 @ Nov 18 2005, 06:25 PM) You mean you can't just purchase the updated NAV CD and pop it into the CD player and have it upgrade the NAV to current conditions? You must pay the dealership $300?--- for what? To perform what tasks, exactly? All they do is put the disc in. And give you free drinks and food...

Just keep the Lexus...that way if your vet is in the shop getting fixed you will have something to drive! That does sound like a good price! Have fun and good luck!

Method 1: Get into your sound menu press top left press bottom left press top left press bottom left I am not sure if you have to be in park but on the 2006 this should work! My boss has a 2006 just like yours and it works fine on his. Just touch corners and it will work keep trying...It took me a while to get it to work on mine! Good Luck!

High Pitched Noise That Goes Away With Tap Of Break
LEXIRX330 replied to fishman's topic in 99 - 03 Lexus RX300
Did you go back to Midas and ask why your Lexus is making noise now? If not, I think I would take it there since they worked on your SUV not Lexus :whistles: ...Has it been doing this long? -
It means to touch the top left of the screen...There are not buttons there.

I guess we are back to the duct tape and a fluffy pillow.
-
Hi, We just designed one. It's 6 1/2" wide and 14" long. Covered in Factory material. Call me to discuss the details. Thanks, Jim 1-800-654-2356 I'd always thought the armrest were pretty useless myself, they're uncomfortable at best, and even get in the way when I turn the steering wheel. Jim, if your design is better than the fluffy pillow idea :D please post some details here. :D I would also like to see some details on your design if you have a website please list it.
