  1. I found 30+ photos from my 2nd visit to the Chicago Auto Show. They are at: http://www.taxicabs.com/autoshow/chicago20...day2/index.html Enjoy, Dave
  2. I posted a video of the IS-F at: http://www.taxicabs.com/autoshow/chicago20...exus/IS-F/video I also have photos of the IS-F at http://www.taxicabs.com/autoshow/chicago2007/Lexus/IS-F/ and finally, I uploaded 20 new photos of the LF-A at http://www.taxicabs.com/autoshow/chicago2007/Lexus/LF-A. Just click the photos to move to the next one. Tomorrow, I'll upload more IS-F photos and video/photos of the concept Toyota Supra (hybrid & hot). Dave
  3. I went to the Chicago Auto Show and saw the new IS-F and of course the LF-A I've uploaded photos of the IS-F to: http://taxicabs.com/autoshow/chicago2007/Lexus/IS-F and photos of the LF-A to: http://taxicabs.com/autoshow/chicago2007/Lexus/LF-A I wish I had a better quality camera, my cheapo digital doesn't do them. Of course when I get my IS-F I'll post lots of photos! You can click on the photo to advance to the next one. Maybe fellow FIB's will post more photos here. I'll be happy to host as many photos as any of you have on my server (I have GIGS of space and bandwidth available). Hope you enjoy.
  4. I got 2k off MSRP In Chicago, this is available: Luxury Package - $8,994.00 Luxury Package with 18-in wheels includes Auburn bird's-eye maple interior trim, Perforated leather-trimmed interior, Power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, Lexus Memory System for power driver's seat (except lumbar) outside mirrors and steering wheel, Heated and ventilated front seats, Illuminated doorsill scuff plates, Power rear-window sunshade, Rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers with mist cycle, Electrochromic (auto-dimming) outside mirrors with auto tilt-down in reverse, Bi-xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS), and 18-in alloy wheels. Additional Options: - Navigation System/Mark Levinson® Premium Audio System Package - Intuitive Parking Assist - Preferred Accessory Package (includes Cargo net, Trunk mat and Wheel locks) - All weather floor mats
  5. My first choices were black or matador red. What was available was the Tungsten silver (I did not want to wait for a special order,) so I took that, with the grey interior (which is what I wanted). The car looks great, and I have no complaints.
  6. 19mpg... IS350 80% city, spirited, plains... I only have 800 miles on the car... so it may improve.
  7. I paid 2k below MSRP, and I financed. The interest rate is dependant on your credit, so it will vary. I also traded in a car, and got a pretty good trade in value (above KBB) Purchased from Woodfield Lexus in Schaumburg, IL. If you are in the area, let me know and I'll give you the name of my salesman. Dave
  8. I had the dealer do it for me, that way I knew if there was a problem they'd take care of it. I don't want to entrust my car to any corner tire shop. Dave
  9. It finally snowed last night so I was able to drive the IS350 (w/Blizzak LM25v). It drove very well, but still slid a bit when taking turns fast. I guess I have to learn to NOT do that. I used the "SNOW" button (next to the traction on/off switch), so I'm sure that helped as well. My main concern will be the drivers w/o the snow tires. I recommend the blizzaks, there is no way I'd drive my car in snow otherwise. Dave
  10. I posted a response in another topic, but I went ahead and purchased tires from the dealer and let them install them on my existing wheels. Thanks to you and your post for alerting me to the problems of buying from another retailer, as it relates to TPMS. Dave IS350, Blizzak LM25s on the OEM wheels.
  11. I wound up getting Blizzak LM-25s, from the deaaler, and I had them installed on the wheels that came with the car... for a few reasons. 1. I read a lot about the TPMS problems, solved by having Lexus install the tires using the existing hardware 2. I couldn't find 18" winter tires, at least not the highest rated ones (on tirerack) on either tirerack or discount tire. None of the local tire chains had them either.r 3. Lexus is actually storing my summer tires until winter is over, and they'll store my winter tires when they put the summer ones back on. The tires are great (so far) and I can't wait until it snows to see how they handle in the wet. I paid a lot for the tires, but I saved in a couple of ways. I didn't have to buy new wheels, which I was going to do, and I didn't have to buy TPMS for each wheel and then either find out they wouldn't work (if they weren't from Lexus) or take them to lexus to have them programmed. which wouldn't have been free... Im sure would have wound up costing at least $200 if not more... Dave
  12. my audiovox xv660 pocket pc phone works fine with the 350's bluetooth. programmed it last night in about 5 minutes. treo650 works... there's a firmware update that you should get if the 650 doesn't work. cingular posted theirs around thanksgiving. the bluetooth feature rocks... great audio connection... turns off audio on radio/cd...
  13. I found a wheel/tire combo on discount tire for $896 (17"). I thought I'd have my car last week, but won't actually get it until the 23rd or so. I'll keep you all advised as to what I do regarding winter tires. Thx, Dave Wow, that just changed my entire thought of buying a 350.
  14. hi Craig, I hope to have my 350 in a day or two. I'm trading in my 99 M3 convertible, also w/ summer tires. The drive home the other day was scary (I'm in the Chicago area). I priced tires/wheels sets @ tirerack, they ain't cheap Dave
  15. I'm told that Sirius is a dealer installed option, about $575.
