  1. The car looks beautiful! You did a great job restoring it. I like the colour too!!
  2. Thanks dustinshay77! No wonder I couldn't find the fuse box near the driver's foot well area. Didn't know it was hidden behind the side kick panel. I will try it again tonight. Thanks.
  3. Guys, sorry about the stupid question but... where can I find the fuse box? I have the same problem and want to check out the fuses. Thanks.
  4. Thanks Jibby! I will check the fuses tonight as you described. I'm really hoping it's the fuse causing the problem. ^^;
  5. Thanks for your tips, Jack! I just bought 93 SC400 with 223km as well and need to do the emission test this week. I will follow your tricks and hopefully it will pass. Hey Jack, which garage do you normally use for your SC400 in Toronto? Any recommendation? Thanks a bunch!
  6. Hahaha. this is so funny. At least we learned something new and we won't make the same mistake.
  7. Could it be the fuse for the pump? I just bought this car so I don't even know where the fuse boxes are. lol
  8. Guys, please help me! I’m trying to purchase a set of slighty used Enkei rims with winter tires from a guy who used them on his previous 2002 Lexus GS430. Tire size is 225/60/16 Pirelli ‘Winter 210 snowsport’ with 16” Enkei rims. Will these fit in my 1993 SC400? Do these two vehicle share the same bolt hole pattern? I was trying to find this from couple of different tire shops and one say it would fit and the other said it wouldn’t. So I don’t know who to believe. The existing owner said he bought the rims and tires from the Lexus dealer brand new and used it for only one season so they are almost brand new. It would be great if they fit to my SC400!! Please help me. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

  10. I do have exactly the same problem. The windshield washer fluid doesn't dispense out and I don't hear the pump working while spraying it. I guess this is another SC400 chronic problem as well?
  11. Mine doen't idle that high when it starts up but it gives out quite strong smell of gas burning from the exhausts. Hopefully it's not the faulty engine gaskets. emm.. I smell burning money.
  12. Greetings from Canada! I recently purchased 93 SC400 with 220km (136k miles) from a private. Colour is Black with Beige int. All stock. No modifications. The only thing I'm thinking of doing is changing tires to Winter tires as we you know why.. Canada winter. It runs great so far. I really enjoy driving it. However I've encountered a few odd things... Very ODD.... Mostly electrical. - speedometer needle is out. every lights on instrument panel works. - after warming up for 5min., the heater starts to work. but can not change the speed of the fan and it always stays at low. it's going to be a long cold winter. - the stereo goes on and off without warning. first i thought it happens only when i go over the bumps but it does randomly while driving and at stop. This really frustrates me!! - windshield washer doesn't eject out water. I think the nozzles are clean. I don't hear pump works when I turn it on. I think it's electrical too. These things are only minor stuffs but I really want to find the solutions to fix these problems as I love driving this car. I guess I've got a lot of readings to do in this forum.
