  1. It is located in a somewhat inconvenient spot. It's on the drivers side kick panel. You have to forceful pull down the carpet lining on the left wall of the driver's foot well area. The fuse panel is located there. When you pull off the cover, it will expose the panel itself. A 'map' of the panel is located on the lid, and a description of each fuse can be found in the owner's manual. I don't remember which fuse it was.
  2. Hey Tom....that was it. A dime ended up in the power socket, never would have seen it or noticed had it not been for this forum. AWESOME Got the dime, and replaced the fuse. Works again. Thanks Tom.
  3. Excellent idea. I could probably get a blacked out one cheap, and then swap the LCD screen itself. Thanks Any other thoughts out there?
  4. I'm an SC man myself, but my best freind has an 05 GX. The clunk is genreally at low speeds, and starts/stops. She has had the vehicle back to Lexus twice now, for an axle replacement. Not specifically sure what causes the clunk, they just keep replacing the axle. perhaps the 2nd time was a different axle...and the problem won't go away until they replace all the clunking ones...not sure. However, don't regret your purchase. Her GX is a lovely vehicle, and is way more car for the money over the Bimmer and the Merc. Worst case is the you will have to suffer the clunks, and have them replaced when you go in for service. Perhaps the 06 is better...I would bet that it is...Lexus does not let a quality problem linger like this...it's just not Lexus. Good luck.
  5. Hi, newbie here. With no particular warning, my climate control panel is completely unrepsonsive. The display itself lights up fine, along with the other displays/dash lights. The LCD is clear, and clean (not blacked out like others talk about) - IT'S JUST DEAD. The display is completly blank, and NONE of the buttons repsond. It's like the whole module is fried. Now...I did have what I believed to be a ground problem (lights dim, Cd player cut off when I hit the brakes). But I wouldn't think that it would cause the Cimate Contrls to completely die, and stay dead? FYI - the ground problem is being addressed (new ground kit, negative cable, and battery). Is my DEAD Climate Control common, suggestsion, advice?
