  1. Welcome. The GS430 is awesome. I have a 01 GS430 (gold) as well and love it. Amazing torque and power, smooth ride.
  2. I had my 07 GX done at Westside Lexus here in Houston. No problems at all. Got a loaner and had my GX back the next day. Good service
  3. I use premium fuel in mine. Premium is 93 octane here. I'll have to try 91 (Midgrade?) and see if there is any difference.
  4. I ordered a key online and I had the option to have it cut per the VIN number at no extra charge.
  5. My mechanic told me it was a cylinder misfire. He reset the computer now the code won't come back.
  6. Turns out a metal shard was logged underneath the plastic. I don't know if it flew in on the road or if was left over from the manufacturing process. They fixed the clunk problem. Took it to Westside Lexus here in Houston for the service. Very professional, pleased so far; I pick it up in a few hours.
  7. I have the same problem, taking it to my mechanic today to have it diagnosed and fixed. Hopefully it's something easy like a sensor.
  8. My wife just noticed this problem on our 01 GS430. Taking it to our mechanic today to have it looked at and fixed. I hope it's the same problem and not something more serious.
  9. I have an 01 GS430 I bought used and I'd love to have a brand new GS430. If I had the cash I'd buy one without thinking twice. It's the best car I've ever own. I only have 80k miles on it and my wife has practically taken it from me :)
  10. Hello All, I love my GX 470 but have a problem I'd like to share. A couple of weeks ago I was showing the GX to a friend and we took a look at the engine and noticed rust. This may be hard to explain but the rust was located on the body near the latch where the hood latches to the body. I'll take a picture when I get home. I'm just curious if anyone else has had a similar problem with rust on new vehicles. It's not noticable unless you lift the hood to take a look at the engine. I bought it last July and I only have 6800 miles on it so it's well within warranty. I'm taking it in to have it fixed and also have the "clunk" problem fixed. Thanks
  11. I have the same problem with my 01 GS430. I have 80k miles. Almost time for a timing belt. I'm going to have my transmission fluid changed soon to see if that helps. The problem seems to only happen when the engine is cold, when I first start it and drive. I haven't found anything in the manual about when to change the tranny fluid ^_^
