Last week the remote lock feature on my 06 Gx470 failed, but came bacvk next day. It was not the keys as all keys did not work. Any ideas? BTW, my guarentee ran out two weeks prior to lock failure!!! : :( Regards Darrell

If you make enough noise about it, you can get it done for nothing....as it should be. It's been a known issue with this vehicle and Lexus should have fixed it permanently as soon as they knew it. But, they say because it is not a safety issue, they will only fix it if a customer complains and if it is still under the 50,000 warranty. You will see on the newest TSB that part of this service is covered to 70,000 miles and part only until 50,000 miles. Even my Lexus dealership did not know that part of it was covered under the 70,000 mile drivetrain warranty. I had to tell them to check the latest TSB. In the end, I got the whole thing done for nothing on my 2004 GX470 with over 60,000 miles. The newest TSB is April 2006. I had my 06 GX470 5000 mile checkup done at the Lexus dealer because it was free. However, the Lexus dealer is 125 miles away. Has anyone had the later checkups done at a Toyota dealer? We have a Toyota dealer 7 miles away and it would be a lot easier for me to have my routine service done there. I just wonder if they will follow the Lexus service manual or just "wing" it. I asked if this could be done and was told no.:cries: They stated it was for safety reasons, I think they just didn't want to do it. We wanted a "hot" 12 volt outlet for our 12 volt cooler. All of our previous 5 Jeeps had an "always on" 12 volt outlet. I just checked with another dealer and they said that they could do the rewiring for $150.00. It would be worth it to me for our cooler.

I have a new ISP and a new Email address. I am unabe to log in because I can,t remember my log in information ( password ) I asked for new password and reply stated it was sent to my Email.
