Has anyone had any success in protecting the laser module with lexan? On a more gearhead note does anyone know what kind of laser it uses or the wavelength? I would love to know just so I could try and make an educated decision to pick a protector that would not absorb much energy. Any other ideas? At $2,000 a crack there is some incentive here.

Dropped it off to have the dealer finish up some of the things that were not finished at exchange of money. They told me they would look into it. Will let everyone know the outcome.

Bought a CPO 2002 LS430 Ultra Lux w/ 58K miles. Has Goodyear Eagle LS 225 55 R17 97H tires. During test drive rode very quiet on smooth pavement. However, on any type of rough pavement or places that had undergone any construction it is way too loud. At both highway and low speeds. No wind noise, cannot hear the engine running, but the road noise is loud. I am going to have dealer look at it but was wondering if anyone had thoughts.
