  1. If using vaistech on an 05-09 RX you can add both ipod & xm or sirius. The ipod will work off of the disc button & the sat will work off of the AM button. The ipod install in that car literally takes 10 minutes & the xm 30 minutes. The radio is very easy to remove and there is no splicing or wire cuttin involved. On the newer cars that have the available port installed lexus ipod you cannot add sat because the port installed ipod uses the sat function. It however can be easily removed to install both vais units.
  2. All 2010 RX350 have an ipod/mp3 port in the center console. Lift up the tray and they are down on the bottom next to the aux cig outlet.
  3. Has anyone come across a replacement overhead console for aftermarker video that allows the rear audio controls to be mounted into it along with the new monitor?
  4. The vais unit and the XM tuner i mount behind the glove box. It is a nice pot and very neat. The XM antenna gets mounted on the top of the roof in the back of the car. I grind away a little metal under the weatherstripping and run the wire under it. Of course I protect both sides of the wire with rubber butyl so that the metal doesnt pinch it. It then runs along the panel line all the way to the front making sure it doesnt get in the way of any airbag deployment. The ground loop isolator just goes in line with the RCA cables to the XM tuner.
  5. Wiring diagrams for what? What are you trying to install?
  6. The GX470 whether you program the vais unit to CD or MD will display text information. I have installed at least 100 of these.
