  1. I just replaced my extremely loud and cupped goodyears with the oe michellins (235/55-18). A dramatic improvement! My dealer said the low profile version ot the RSA does not stand up compared to more standard profile versions.
  2. My experience, exactly! Following advice in this thread, I asked my dealer to recheck the tires. They found heavy wear especially on the inside of the tires. I was told that the tires need to be replaced. They are goodyears with 20,000, and were rotated every 5000. Lexus customer satisfaction said 12,000 to 18,000 was normal. The tires have been loud almost from the start. The are very loud today. Now I know why. Lexus said the will do something, but it will take a few days.
  3. I really like the "FloorLiner" mats at WeatherTech.com. They fit my 400h perfectly. They are nice folks to deal with. They are an original equipment winter floormat supplier to Mercedes Benz.
  4. Thanks for your insight...makes sense!
  5. Those are $181 ea (plus tax) at CostCo with lifetime rotaion and road hazard here in So Cal. I was told there is no milage warrentee for these type of tires, but the Michelin should go for 50K with the 440 tread wear number. I have had significant tire cupping with Goodyears on my 20,000 mile 400h. Rotated every 5000 miles. The Goodyear dealer blamed the wheel alignment (top of tires tipped in to improve handling). The dealer is checking alignment and is doubtful. Otherwise tire wear is good, but these were never quiet tires! Anyone have similar problems on the RX400h?
  6. After much frustration, I purchased a Sprint Sony Ericksson T 608 on Ebay. This is a phone that Sprint no longer supports, I'm told. It allows transfer of an entire phone book as "business cards" to my RX 400. Unlike newer phones, its bluetooth is entirely unlocked. I have not activated the phone - no need. I just use it to transfer numbers. Doesn't matter who your provider is! Also, most older GSM bluetooth phones allow full transfer. Perhaps you have a friend with a phone that will transfer. Beats one number at a time. So how do I get my phone book into the Sprint Sony Ericksson T608 in the first place? Do I have to manually type my contacts in one-by-one? that would be annoying. how much should this phone cost on ebay? are there any cheaper compatible phones out there? cingular maybe? I had to put them in one at a time. It worked very easily. I got the phone on ebay. The battery, charger and phone were under $65. As a result the phone system in my RX400h is much more useful. Transfer to one-touch dialing was easy. Names appear for each one-touch entry. My only regret is I should have done it sooner. The problem with Cingular and the other gsm providers is the have limited rural service. I need the ability to roam analog.

  8. I pushed it. A screen came up with a keypad, and other things I that had no self-apparent purpose. The "back" button worked. Looks like I would need to find a sevice manual.
  9. Yep, that trick works like a charm for playing with the NAV while driving (well Wife driving and Im playing:) ) I bet once you get into override mode it may take care of the bluetooth issue as well? Let us know ← I noticed thjat the same screen had a button marked "tel voice" What does it do?
