  1. Hey Guys, I was bidding on a new navigation DVD on ebay and the guy that was selling it said he would make a copy and sell it to me. I'm not too familiar with this process but after looking at a few forums i wanted your guys inputs. Is it possible to *backup* your own navigation dvd with a dual layer dvd burner? Any input/advice would be helpful. I cant spend more than 250 for the nav disk. FYI: 2001 gs300 Ltuned 3rd generation nav system
  2. I believe version 3. It will be something like 33033 o believe. Make sure you dont get a 4th generation nav disk, it wont work. You have a 3rd generation dvd unit.
  3. I too am looking for a work around on this. This is the most annoying thing about this great car. Ive heard you can disable (cut) one of the wires to fool the nav system in thinking the car is in park. I dont have the balls to try it without ALOT of research. Anyone done this?
  4. I have a 01 gs300, looking for some nav mods. I just got the car a few weeks ago. Looking to watch movies, use nav while driving. Any pointers or places i should look. I can pay to have these mods done and am also comfortable doing them myself.
  5. I have a 2001 gs300, i took a nav disk from my friends 2004 gs430 and used it in my system for a road trip. Got back and put my old disk back in. DOESNT WORK NOW! Apparently the newer disks updates the firmware within the unit. I am now stuck without nav. I need to buy a 3rd generation disk 3.3, i have a guy telling me he can make me a copy for 100 bucks. I thought you couldnt copy the nav disks?? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
